The latest episode seemed to of been better geared towards just doing horror C64 games, opposed to the Freddy and Jason angle. Why even bother with that angle, considering that once James starting losing steam after the old McDonald bit. He should of just made it into a normal Halloween episode and just made it themed towards the C64. He probably could of done a more creative skit with the C64 like in the Polybus video. Though, James is clearly getting derailed by ScreenWave by them totally screwing with the formula.
This just feels like a too many Chefs in the kitchen type of scenerio opposed to an organic James is just fucking it up type of deal. Especially considering the plagerism controversy and this Rex Viper Chernobyl effect that is going on with his channel currently. The lost revenue seems to be something that as others have speculated, is an incredibly assine thing for James to do, considering what has been going on with his page in the last couple of years. James last couple of videos have been a massive improvement after the lemons this year, but he has to just go back to writing his own shit. If he is going to do skits, he needs to really rethink the formula in how to do them, because the ScreenWave era skits are fucking embarassing.
A good example of a skit done right in a Halloween episode was the Festers Quest episode. It was distinct and added a flare to the video that matched the content well. Watching James old videos compared to now is just upsetting. For Halloween episodes, this was better than the last couple of years, but still is not in the best ranking. He needs to get the Rex Viper shit out of his mind if he really thinks the channel is going to survive the next couple of years. Considering the negative reaction that even in the likes of this thread that Cinemassacre has picked up over the last several months. Never is good sign when there is a lot of chatter in a thread like this when fans are becoming pretty disgruntled with the Chris Bores level of bullshit.
