When a person has poor social skills, and especially when one also lives in mommy's basement and rarely gets out, and ESPECIALLY when one also has a flawed sense of personal responsibility and an ego problem, it should not be a surprise that someone in such predicament(s) may come up with inaccurate views on how dating and relationships work, built on faulty observations and exaggerations.
This may be how we get gems like "redpill," "lookism," and the whole "sluthate" mentality to begin with. It's possibly why some guys with average looks who fail at dating may think mathematical perfection is needed, while other average looking guys get laid all the time.
Yeah, I'm probably pointing out the obvious here. TL;DR and in other words: people with personal issues may blame romantic failure on questionable external factors over real personal issues.
