I was not paying much attention while reading, what's the anya situation
Just how no one remembers she exists and has low numbers for hololive standards simply because of the games she plays. She knows the games she plays are enjoyable only for herself and a small number of viewers but refuses to change.

Not to mention that not everyone is fan of the sass.

now a bit off topic
i think when people talk about Yagoo home for broken girls, actually I realized only the ID girls who don't have that kind of background.
heck even half of them actually have a decent amount of income for a living since the beginning

Anya for used to shopping abroad (around SEA)
Reine for obv reasons is the daughter of some big figure
Iofi for growing up Homeschooling (well yes, those who can afford homeschooling in ID mostly mid-high class)
Another I can think of might be Ollie with the dox showing her exchange student program to JP, but again I think some schools have that.
so idk

idk about Moona, I still do not yet believe her being a model. well maybe she is but not an A list or something, but Moona and Risu are probably the ones who work from the bottom with streaming with a laptop.

in sort these ID mem who join kinda already have privilege to begin with, maybe should be a hint for new gen later lmao

good for her, fuck the haters. don't watch her either, but rather have my oshi do and play what they enjoy than do the same FOTM stuff everyone else does for the numbers which usually ends up less enjoyable. hololive is big enough that they don't really have to, would like to see more of them go full korone and just play whatever the fuck they like.

this is also another aspect that got ignored in the whole "muh hololive" stupidity, it makes sense for a company to have a broad portfolio, dunno if cover lucked into it or were smart enough. take subaru for example, it's fun that she's the normie of the bunch and that works great for her considering the rest, but 10 subarus? same thing happens when a company goes full sony only focusing on the heavy hitters because they provide the biggest return of investment. not really interested in seeing 10 different versions of pekora, and I couldn't even imagine how boring the collabs would be.
point I'm trying to make is that while it gives you a boost, doesn't mean success in the form most people that bring shit like that up think of when they do. not everyone can become a pekora, and not everyone should. I highly doubt there's much overlap between nousagis and people who watch flare or sora. so by definition a smart company offers less successful products as well, they just need to be successful enough somewhere, even if it's just to complement the existing portfolio. like before that assumes cover being retarded, which was always a smoothbrain position to argument from.

I think that's just a matter of economics and/or lifestyle, how many lower class girls in indonesia own a laptop or can spend a lot of time on a computer to get interested in becoming a vtuber? similar reason you don't see a lot of south african or middle eastern vtubers (not comparing SA or ME to indonesia, it's just an example).

And on top of that, we're also speaking mostly about girls who speak English and/or Japanese to a good degree. Anyone with that kind of background in Indonesia is likely to be middle class at minimum.

Though I do think the "Yagoo home for broken girls" thing is a bit exaggerated, and stems more from how many of the people attracted to vtubing and who become vtubers are, well, people who don't 100% "fit in" with regular Japanese society. One can certainly find vtubers in other agencies or indies with similar backgrounds. Even those who have wealth and whatnot are, well, nerds.

Can confirm about this. Sure there are some outliers where people of lower classes learn foreign language to get better jobs, but most of the times its the middle class people who did it to fluent level. Even more so if you studied more than just one language, like Reine, Iofi, Anya, and Ollie that can speak Japanese as well (and more for Iofi).

However, it should be noted that Indonesian tend to be able to learn languages more easily, only if they put efforts into it, however. Something to do with Indonesian language itself is a second language for most people here.

Tenma's live right now with Ashelia

And Pippa has a stream on Twitch in a couple of days if you want to go ahead and follow her now - https://www.twitch.tv/pipkinpippa

Mel's roommate (Rika) released a preview video for her new album, was a bit surprised to see this in the credits:

First time I've seen Holo roommates working together like this. Not sure whether she was actually involved with the production, or just helped to get FAKE TYPE involved with the song? Either way I thought it was pretty interesting. I really like some of the music too, seems like she has been working hard on this. (also noteworthy: Kagura Nana contributed an illustration for the album, and LAM drew the cover art)

This must be the reason she was so busy these past few months, same pattern (kinda?) with Delta going quiet in regards to streaming. Just glad Mel is Mel and doing Mel things and not something serious.

And seeing that Kagura Nana worked on the art for this album, she might also be the one who drew the PNG she used on her roommate's YT channel being from her, I'm not exactly sure, I thought it looked familiar though.

Those people are pussies. It’s good for Anya to not care about them, at least good in a psychological sense.

Interesting song. Doesn't seem particularly catchy to me but maybe that'll change with more listens.
I loved it and favorited. Missed a few small parts and the first min of live chat due to my set up but enjoyed it nonetheless. The lyrics are amazing and have a proud feeling with them, art is soo great, and everyone’s flow was on point.

Wait, so let me get this straight, someone made a remix of Gura+Calli's cover, and used a service to put it on itunes, thereby leading to this? Wouldn't putting a cover of Holo's content into a paid service in the first place is forbidden by Cover? Just like the HoloBass case?

it's seperated a bit the Itunes stuff is an entirely different topic and issue from the paid service bit.

basically normal individuals cannot utilize Youtube ContentID to protect their work because the barrier's for youtube to include you in their system are too high. In response to this there are a number of companies that will work as a central "company" in which you can pay into it and that company will protect your work through content ID because the company at that point is large enough to qualify.

Guy who was utilizing one of these services made a remix and the company issued a claim on his behalf on Calli/gura's cover.

I've not seen anything to imply the claim was anything more than a mistake and the guy seems to be working to release it but like all things on youtube it takes time. The Itunes stuff on the other hand though....... that might get him into some trouble.
