AOC seemed to be getting propped up by the Justice Democrats including Saikat Chakrabarti who situated himself onto her staff after getting her into office, but was then ousted a couple years ago. AOC was probably a puppet for these people. Since then AOC has been kinda aimless and just going along with whatever seemed popular on social media.

Her doing stuff like going to that gala works fine for giving her positive attention from Dem voters who think the ultra rich and powerful are getting told off by her wearing a dress and partying with them. So she's not losing points there. She just has no one to direct her towards doing anything meaningful. She recently had that video do the rounds of her saying how she chats with Bernie, which is a decent sign that she's taking direction now not from the more radical elements of the Justice Democrats as she was in the past, but rather from the old money in congress like Bernie.

Disagree with the bolded part. She got major pushback from progs on the left. Particularly with younger voters and the more radical people left. It looked really, really bad and hypocritical and hypocrisy is never a good look with true believers which the younger people are. The more radical elements are tired of anyone with a hint of establishment on them while giving them useless gestures to placate them. Her Met Gala stunt was exactly that. Add on to it she stole the dress from a BIPOC, she fucked up terribly. Then she reversed her vote on the Iron Dome. Pretty sure she's dead politically in terms of being a major player moving forward. She's lost all credibility.

FWIW I'm a fence sitter on whether the large scale fraud seen in 2020 requires a load of political capitol or not. A lot of the fraud committed didn't require a single DNC employee/operative as it was outsourced. I think you've missed Lurks points when hes saying that the supervisors don't need "paying" off directly and might aid the democrats either for ideological reasons or through negligence. He's also seemed to underestimate (imo) just how much this has to be signed off by the top brass (not just supervisors) and their bribes don't come in a paper bag. They come in the form of legislation. If the Democrats can't pass said legislation then they can't afford the bribe. No bribes, no or fewer favours given.

The thing that's really bothered me since Nov is how the hell does the ballot printer go brrrrr? My guess is that they just hoard ballots in a location and fill them out through voter databases. This would explain why they were desperate for mass mail-ins as that would flood the place with "legitimate" ballots to be filled out if necessary. You could then use your friends at USPS to deliver said ballots to a counting station which is favourable to you. That's the best I've got so far.

Yes, mainly due to the postmark thing.

One thing that Oregon does, which has been 100% mail in for years. Is ignore postmarks, if the USPS doesn't get it to the election office by 8PM election day, then it doesn't count, excepting some overseas ballots I believe.

But, of course, they're 'fixing' this starting January 2022.

How they horde them is actually fairly simple, but at the same time kinda unavoidable. Put simply, they print far more than they actually need. The reason for this is needing copies for lost, damaged, or misplaced ballots. The only real limiting factor is the amount of the paper they use for it, and that's it. Then for filling them out, just look at the voter database and hope nobody looks too closely at them. It's shockingly simple really, but unavoidably so.

Oh my fucking god…Remember that they tried so hard to avoid this by shutting out the press (at the expense of looking even more shady). They created what they hoped was a pressure-minimized environment that Biden could do a passable job with. All of that fortification, and this still happens. The man cannot deliver because his brain is fucking dying.

At this point, his public appearances will dwindle further. He’s already kept from doing candid appearances and press conferences as is, but they’ll tighten that even further to the point that it looks unavoidably 1984 to even the sleepiest of normies. They’re finding out that, no, you can’t have a completely invisible president because people start to wonder. I am certain that if he were in a coma, his team would try to push on and keep it hidden as much as possible. Fuck, we are watching a repeat of the Brezhnev/Andropov/Chernenko dynamic in 2021. I mean, they’re already using sets for media appearances, much like with Chernenko when they forced his dying ass to vote in front of cameras to try and portray to the underclass “SEE?! THIS IS FINE! EVERYTHING’S HAPPY AND NORMAL!!”

What are their options? Retire him soon in the hopes that they can coach and form the bitch into a sustainable option? Impossible, she’s a non-starter. Do they try to drag him over the finish line again with another 2020-esque basement campaign? That won’t work either, as there won’t be enough COVID hysteria to justify it. Joe won’t even be sentient by then, anyway.

While fully knowing that he was a stop-gap, I think they believed that they’d get a decent amount of mileage out of him. What they didn’t predict was that he’d decline FAR faster than anticipated, forcing them to scramble and find a plan when no good one is to be had.

I can imagine she annoyed some progressives, but I'm looking around at the moment and seeing how Vaush seemed to be defending it, Colbert just did a quick joke about it, and even the Daily Mail was pretending she was amidst people with radically different politics than her.

I hear from liberals regularly and most are not in tune with any of AOC's left or right wing critics. Usually the attitude I hear is something like "ah I heard AOC upset Republicans, so I guess she's probably doing things right".
