Actually, what I believe I am witnessing is that most of the people in SW VA legal system are corrupt. I haven't had the problems in the legal system in other parts of the state, like Northern Virginia. The Shenandoah Valley region, somewhat.

I really don't care that much if the State supports her brood. They're just kids; they didn't choose to be cast into the whirlwind of madness that is Smelly's life. She obviously is unable to support them and starving kids because their mother is a lunatic is a bridge too far for me.

That being said, the State's support comes with the State's control. It should not be surprising that CPS is keeping a watchful eye on Smelly and her litter.
