Yep, by all accounts that entire production was an extremely unsafe tragedy waiting to happen. Now, if we're talking Michael Massee, there's a reasonable case to be made for his lack of culpability. When he pointed a gun at brandon Lee it appeared to be loaded with a blank. It's not unreasonable to assume that your average actor who is handed a firearm in the 90s would not think to look down the barrel for an obstruction. And safety standards then was notably less stringent (after that productions were supposed to use camera angles to hide that actors would aim slightly away from other actors when firing blanks). Trying to blame the low-level actor who pulled the trigger back then would have been just establishing a fall guy.

Here, though, the guy Pat is fellating was the producer. He was in charge of the goddamn set as much as anyone else, in addition to being such big\experienced 'talent' that he could and should have been aware of the massive safety lapses (including the fact that a non-inert gun should NEVER be pointed at anyone- a lesson from the Lee shooting). He wasn't just some schlub that was 'just as much a victim' as the person he killed.

but he's rich, liberal and white so Pat will defend him to the death. I bet if he were as black as Dave, Pat would call him out for being part of the problem in african american culture for refusing to take responsibility.

Even ten hours after the opening shots were fired Pat was still unblocking people and replying to them, then blocking them again so he could be the one that got the last word. I couldn't cap all of it, because there is so much, but here are some funny moments.

Tomlinson, as a decent person you have the impulse to feel sorry for him until you see how he treats other people all the time, adandoned his daughter, protested against an anti-pedophilia rally, steals other people's work poorly, lies about doing home maintenance projects when his wife posted online she was hiring someone to do it, etc.

His stolen Trolley Problem that got him all of those Twitter followers who muted him shortly thereafter didn't even make sense - as a thought experiment you would save the 1000 viable embryos every time, but if you were actually in that weird scenario he dreamed up your empathy and emotional lack of clear thinking would probably make you save the one crying 5 year old and let 1000 silent proto-people die and explain to 2000 people who had to go to a fertility clinic because they couldn't conceive that now they'll never be parents.

The main one is he wasn't responsible for the fuckup of whoever in the special effects department had manufactured defective custom blanks/squibs, nor had he reloaded the prop gun without failing to remove one of the fakes with metal shells so they would look right in a close-up shot, so that the primer from the subsequently loaded blank shot the fake shell as if it were an actual bullet, since it basically was.

I doubt anyone will be held criminally responsible for an accident that involved so many people fucking up in different ways that no one of them can really be blamed for the whole thing. There's certainly going to be a lawsuit though.

Lol where did you find this? Also he's a dumbass. Gmail has a big "Unsubscribe" button that you can click once and it does all the work of taking you off mailing lists.
