Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

A certain 501(c)3 company I am familiar with abruptly decided today (10/28) that it is a federal contractor and that all employees must be fULLy VacCiNAteD by January 1 or else be fired, in order to "be in compliance" with Brandon's edict. This includes remote workers. There will be no testing option. Remote volunteers, on the other hand, don't have to get anything. So to break down:

In person volunteers: must get shot
In person employees: must get shot
Remote employees: must get shot
Remote volunteers: no requirements

This further makes no sense because isn't the deadline for the fed contractors December 8?

And how is it that they just remembered today, all these weeks later, oh yeah, we are federal contractors, so we don't need to wait for OSHA, we HAVE to comply RIGHT NOW and you're already almost out of time?

All very suspicious.
If it's anything like my last job, your managers are probably completely clueless and incompetent to make the necessary decisions on how to roll all this out. Whoever is deciding this stuff should have medical training to understand the pros and cons and risks of the various approaches and legal training to figure out how to not get their company sued.

After being denied entry to the nursing home on Saturday, I went back on Wednesday, got a different front desk lady, and said, "I've taken a Covid test that should fulfill the state requirements. Can I go visit my grandpa now?" And they were like, "Yeah, sure, whatever", "Wear this gown, mask, and face shield," but didn't ask to see my Covid test results (They'd previously told me self tests didn't count and I was prepared to argue with them), and once we were in the room they didn't care that we broke every single rule regarding on PPE, masks, and number of family members in the small space. The rules are completely inconsistent and unregulated and the people enforcing them don't understand the whys or hows.

So apparently Moderna was a Ponzi scheme similar to Theranos according to this article. Poor Elizabeth Holmes got busted a few years too early or she could’ve been free and rich still.
Someone decided to do some actual journalism.

Moderna's backstory is a bunch of grifters who got suckers to buy into an IPO on the promise that mRNA would cure cancer.

Fabrication of the vaccine a few weeks after the first genome sequencing of the virus. Agreements in place to produce a billion doses a year into the foreseeable future before the vaccine entered trial. Bypassing animal studies that had been extremely problematic in the past due to severe toxicity issues. A projected 10-15 billion in annual revenue just from Covid.

The pandemic was over after the second wave peaked in March and April. Now we have billions of vaccinated people with fucked immune systems dependent on re-dosing getting infected and re-infected over and over again. The pandemic will never end, there's too much money in it.

Being the only unjabbed person in my family sometimes makes me wonder if I'm actually the only stubborn ass among responsibe people. I still don't want to get it, but I'm just really tired. It's like there's no one you can trust, heaps of conflicting information are piled on each other constantly and you have to pluck out nuggets of actual truth (which is supposed to be the job of mass media) while everyone is mad at each other, economy is being buggered, and you're called a regressive, stubborn dumbass for doubting. I really don't want to harm my familial relations, but it's getting harder every day with some older relatives and acquaintances passing from the 'rona and everyone becoming more alarmist and paranoid. I don't know what else to say other than: "I'm tired and everything sucks".
I’ve always been the obstinate asshole in my family and well known to keep to myself. It’s not a bad role to play if you want to do it and can be good roasting practice if you’re smart.

Had an event in NY that was cancelled due to the coof? You may be entitled to a refund.

Customers who had events canceled due to COVID-19 could be getting some money. Here's what to do to claim a refund.

Customers who had events canceled due to COVID-19, including Broadway shows, could be getting back their refunds.

The New York Attorney General Letitia James announced an agreement with Ticket Fulfillment Services, L.P. (TFS) and five ticket resale websites for failing to provide legally-mandated refunds to more than 11,000 affected consumers who purchased tickets — through one of TFS’s affiliate marketers — to events that were canceled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Collectively, the companies denied approximately $4.4 million in refunds that they were required to return to consumers, according to the attorney general.

As part of the agreement, TFS will guarantee refunds to New York consumers and to out-of-state buyers to New York venues who purchased their tickets through an affiliate’s website.

New Yorkers may be eligible for a refund if their event was canceled, and if they are either a New York consumer or a consumer who bought a ticket to a New York venue, through any of the following companies’ websites:
  • Albany Theater
  • Austin Theater
  • Bold Ticket
  • Boston Theater
  • Buffalo Theatre
  • Chicago Theater
  • Cincinnati Theater
  • Denver Theater
  • Durham Theater
  • Fort Myers Theater
  • Grand Rapids Theater
  • Hershey Harrisburg Theatre
  • Las Vegas Theater
  • Nashville Theatre
  • New York City Theatre
  • Norfolk Theater
  • Online City Tickets
  • Orlando Theatre
  • Philadelphia Theater
  • Pittsburgh Theater
  • Portland Theater
  • Rochester Theater
  • Salt Lake City Theater
  • San Francisco Theater
  • Sarasota Theater
  • Seats
  • Seattle Theatre
  • Secure Box Office
  • Syracuse Theater
  • Theatre Land America
  • Tickets Center
  • Tickets on Sale
  • Toronto Theatre
  • West Palm Theater
To claim a refund, consumers are encouraged to contact customer support for the website they used to purchase their ticket.

What's going on? Another piece of actual journalism? The end times are near

People inoculated against Covid-19 are just as likely to spread the delta variant of the virus to contacts in their household as those who haven’t had shots, according to new research.

In a yearlong study of 621 people in the U.K. with mild Covid-19, scientists found that their peak viral load was similar regardless of vaccination status, according to a paper published Thursday in The Lancet Infectious Diseases medical journal.

See this is why I don't have a job despite years of experience in my field. Why I have to use a fake certificate to get a haircut and why I'll likely have to home school my kids. Anyone launching court action against mandates and passports here's the proof.

Read the piece, research linked in the article. "immunity" disappears completely after 3 fucking mounts! Remind me how long the vaccine trials were again?

I'll be honest and say I'm kind of shocked. I thought the vaccines did something, even if was just giving some protection to the old and deathfats. But no they're 100% useless.

They're now discussing 3 monthly boosters for everyone until the new generation of vaccines are rolled out. Fun times.

This may be a PL, but
"I've had that "worst cold ever" (it's more like bronchitis) for a FULL MONTH now and assumed that yeah, it was a weakened immune system (despite taking Vitamin D, zinc, and all the rest) from (1) all of our lockdowns and (2) being banned from going pretty much anywhere thanks to the "pass sanitaire.""]
I've also had a weird cold just now. It was the usual 48-hour mild cold I get every 3 or 4 years, except this time I've been left with a dry-ish cough that is only showing signs of diminishing today (although I'm not too optimistic tbh), more than a week after I had the actual cold. I sure hope it won't last a whole month. Never had something like it, and it's not corona because I got tested.

you laugh but on the flip side the 4chan larpers said the same thing about the vaxxed, even battle beagle predicted it! because why else would joe biden have a due date of october for getting the vax if it wasn't going to cause people to?

now the due date is december 9th for gov contractor, or january. so the zombie Apocalypse has been moved to next year.

Also can anyone give me an update on the israelis, i'm sure if they started dying in huge numbers our muslim friends would be taking advantage of that or posting videos mocking them.
TBH the origins of the 'two more weeks' meme is muddled, and started in during the 2020 election, but later ended up messily transposed onto first the situation in Wuhan, and then onto various other things as the situation evolved.

Overall, I think as the evidence solidifies, we hopefully won't see some 'Red Deer' apocalypse, but I do feel that if they keep on pushing boosters, we'll see an increasing range of immuno-compromization cases + elevated numbers of deaths from clots and myocarditis/pericarditis over the next few years...unfortunately long enough for the perpetrators of these therapeutic 'vaccines' to slip away unscathed, just like with Perdue and Oxycontin.

From that article...

Say what now?

How do you even say that with a straight face
Like @ddw said above, it actually is logic. The one thing vaccines actually seem to be good for (so I am told) is keeping symptoms mild when you catch it (within the 4-5 months timeframe since you got your last dose, that is), which means the argument of you being better off getting vaccinated even though it doesn't prevent transmission still holds.

"No-one ever said it was about protecting the others", indeed.

Make yourself comfortable if you catch it

At the cost of making the pandemic infinitely worse and fucking up any long term prospect of dealing with it

yeah, sounds about right for the karens and the Branch Covidians

It's pretty fab logic. Even putting to one side differing risk levels for different populations, it's a real shame that the vaccinations might just end up increasing transmission rates. Oh dear!

Hypothetical question. Let's say that everyone in the world managed to get hold of ivermectin and assuming it was taken properly... big assumptions, yes, but could this wipe the virus out?

Edit - just thought of all the animal reservoirs. Guess they can get ivermectin too?

One of my close people isn't ok, and it's looking more and more like it's the vaccine what done it. This isn't even something I can have schadenfreude about since it's someone I love so much. I'll keep you guys posted and PL as little as possible, but in the meantime, to those of you who are thinking of giving in: Avoid Moderna, ok? At the very least.

Week 43 UK's Covid vaccination surveillance report has been released

They've changed the reporting format (can't think why) but the numbers are all there.

View attachment 2668809

Infection rates overall are up in adults, in particular vaccinated adults between the ages of 40-59. On average vaccinated adults are 2.5 times more likely to catch Covid than the non vaccinated.
But that graph says it's "Unadjusted" for vaccination rates against the population, and considering said vaccination rates:
vaxCapture.PNG

Doesn't that make a case for the vaccines actually working? Like how ~70 year olds are over 90% vaccinated but only have 2x as many cases. Even ~50 years old, with about 2.5x the cases on the vaccinated vs unvaccinated, with 80% vaccination rates. That still works out to positive defense.
...Unless I'm misinterpreting something?
