FWIW I'm a fence sitter on whether the large scale fraud seen in 2020 requires a load of political capitol or not. A lot of the fraud committed didn't require a single DNC employee/operative as it was outsourced. I think you've missed Lurks points when hes saying that the supervisors don't need "paying" off directly and might aid the democrats either for ideological reasons or through negligence. He's also seemed to underestimate (imo) just how much this has to be signed off by the top brass (not just supervisors) and their bribes don't come in a paper bag. They come in the form of legislation. If the Democrats can't pass said legislation then they can't afford the bribe. No bribes, no or fewer favours given.
it's a moot point anyway since it's not the USPS dropping bags of ballots at 4 am, nor are they the ones doing the harvesting. dems are also more likely to vote by mail, so if there's fuckery you'll still end up with more dem votes.
as for "political capital" - that simply doesn't matter. it comes down to money again. USPS is severely mismanaged and in constant need of money. now remember who said he didn't trust mail-in ballots, and for that reason stopped funding it? who whined the poor overworked USPS needs more money? it was quite a topic during the election. postal workers might be dumb, but even they understand where the money comes from.
so no, you don't need to pay anyone off to make shaniqua drop ballots to or from republican districts, the right propaganda will do that just fine (trump is hitler and wants to steal your wages!). not to mention it's stupid to think you can just pay off a higher up who will then delegate it down through the chain, leaving behind evidence and witnesses everywhere. they're dumb but not that dumb. unless you expect him to go down to the floor at 3am himself to fuck with the mail after it got dumped into the sorting machines...
also, people need to make up their mind. either it was a masterful 4d glowup or lone actors fucking up through quantity and being overzealous. if it's the former said op would've been planned and executed where it makes sense, which again the USPS isn't an effective enough vector. it simply doesn't matter how much you can fuck with the mail if you have direct access where it matters - the count. so why spent time and money on it?
Wrt the mass mail-in ballots, I'm wondering exactly how it is that there isn't some kind of verification system built into it. I've always voted in person and not by mail, so I always figured that there was some kind of serial number that they'd have, or some weird shit like how you can trace something that's been printed specifically to a printer. Who would have access to the resources it takes to be capable of producing that many """legit""" ballots and how would they be capable of covering it up?
Or, in other words, how can or can't an audit determine the veracity of a ballot cast by mail?
first you'd have to define legit ballots. considering how easy it is to get ballots (which I assume are all authentic), you'd need to be able to verify who voted more than once. but since ballots are also anonymous for a reason, this means you end up with a big stack of ballots with possible double votes. so what's a legit ballot and what isn't?
legally it should be possible to keep a record who requested a ballot when (since it doesn't say anything how the vote ended up), but then the question remains why this isn't checked when requesting it? but even then you'd have to consider what prevents a ballot being counted more than once even if legit. and then even if you look into it it still hinges on the cooperation of the people who have an interest to not cooperate ("oh, we destroyed all the ballots, lol. sorry!"), and hardly any repercussions if they don't.
in short, the whole voting process is a fucking mess.
