Yeah that's what baffles me. It's not like trying to pronounce some gaelic or thai term where there is no indication and context. I know people that lived in warzones and lost almost everything, yet they picked themselves up and rebuilt their lives from scratch. While for Digi it is too much to ask to not spend all of his cash on weed and fantasies of making it big thanks to his massive entitlement.

I have noticed that it is a certain kind of people who stan bitcoin without being paid. I mean there are plenty of people that shill their coin of choice to make a quick scam buck, but why the fuck are these exceptional individuals shilling for something they have ZERO influence over. It's not like they are Elon Musk who made some really spicy tweets causing massive sales and buy-ins of bitcoin, but come on, some snaggle-toothed tranny sociopath with a fanbase of under 200 people? For him to have any significant returns on his 160$ investment, Bitcoin would need to scratch the tens of millions dollar mark, something even an optimist would doubt.

In other words, 160-200 times of it's current value for him to see 25k $ off of his current stake.

One only has to look another "exceptional individual" in Boogie2988, where back in February he claimed investing in cryptocurrency had finally made him rich, though Kiwis were quick to poke holes in this braggadocious claim of his (such as here and here).

I think the idea of investing in cryptocurrencies gives off a esoteric mystique that both entices the likes of Digi and Boogie2988 to make (pretty small and cautious) investments and to then boast as gurus who have finally figured out how to become stinking rich with ease. Neither Digi or Boogie2988 really had the courage or even the foresight a few years ago to properly invest in something like Bitcoin.

The ironic thing is that Digi DID have a way to make money, and a way for it to continue to make more said money; by having a highly successful anitube career by releasing a regular stream of videos, which then earned him at least a thousand dollars a month from Youtube through the many views that they generated. His successful and engaging career then encouraged his fans to donate even more to him via Patreon.

Ultimately the only people who become rich from any of this nonsense are the likes of the grifters (Elon Musk just being the biggest one) who get others to invest their money into such schemes. A few people did indeed becoming stinking rich from the Dutch Tulip bubble, after all, just not everybody else. The likes of Boogie2988 and Digi are better off knocking off their notion that they are keen capitalists and they should just accept they were weird enough for the internet to give them money (at least at one point in time) for their autism online.

They have lost far money (and perhaps more tragic of all, time) by being assholes online and nuking their careers, than anything they could have earned from cryptocurrencies. They are no more wiser than the average /biz/tard who risk putting themselves into a heat-induced coma because they have 200 RX 580s running in their bedroom or financially ruin themselves just in time before their next shift at McDonalds starts in five minutes.

Curious if there will be a slightly larger patreon dip the next few months from more trannys realizing he's an asshole they don't want representing them and who doesn't deserve their money.

I eagerly await @NotTheBooks' next monthly update on Digi's Patreon, to see if such a dip will occur.

Honestly I can't wait for the remaining members and maybe even Nate to say what have they might been holding back in an effort to keep the peace.

But after Digi's refusal to contribute to promised material people payed for combined with the attack on Gib for scoring meager clout with a group of people that are laughing at him, not with him I am really really looking forward to listening to this.

I hope they have some dirt on him.

Ironically using his own advice for Maddox, based on what JonTron said to his fans after the comments on race fiasco; just admit he is wrong and that he will change for the best to what his fans what to see out of him (after 37:57 mark):

Admit 'Ygg Studio' was a mistake; admit Riley is a fucking idiot; admit Ben Saint wasn't wrong to press Digi to deliver on his promises to his fans; admit that gender transitioning did not necessitate the deletion of nearly his entire catalogue and of the Brony lecture his fans paid to see; admit he has lied to and gaslighted his fans on a number of occasions (such as not returning the Blu-Ray burner a fan of his lent to him); admit he is not a professional rapper, not even an exceptionally good amateur one; and finally admit that the Digibro persona was the best thing he created for himself and that killing it was his sole biggest mistake.

Casual fans would be happy to just get consistent anime content again. When you consider how fucked YGG is in the eyes of the algo, those alphabet vids are doing pretty well.

Most of the burned parasocial fans are probably just gone. If Conrad admitted he's been making constant mistakes for two years and apologized, then they might be willing to shrug and move on, but the basis for the fandom has been destroyed because it is now much harder to buy into Digi's persona.

Also, even if former fans are willing to see Conrad as morally redeemed, that doesn't change the fact that their content was suffering for a while before they went off the deep end. If they owned all their mistakes and returned to their earlier levels of quality, they'd get some serious fans back, but not enough to support the channel. If I got pissed enough at a creator to unpatron, then even if they got their shit back together I'd be much slower to give them money a second time.

People like Ben and Gib? Literally nothing. In the first place, I don't believe anyone who really knew Digi ever liked them all that much, and it was such a petty, bitch-ass betrayal that the best you could hope for is them gradually not caring over the course of several years. It would be them cooling off, not reconciling.

There have been so many clips where Digi basically predicts their own downfall, but this one is so on-the-nose it almost hurts:

What Maddox has done is pretty heinous, but he doesn't even appreciate that. He still thinks he's the good guy. He still thinks that all of his actions have been justified, and no one agrees. Not a single person; not even his friends. Not even people who try to work with him because they think that he's an opportunity for them. Even though they are slowly realizing... he's not, because he's not relevant, and everybody on the internet hates him.
