I dont want to enter @Takodachi territory of "fuck it" but is been a month already, A MONTH, why you need another 2 weeks?
2 possible rrats for this is that, from what I remember, she's Australian (and Indonesian iirc) and probably left the country for family stuff the last few weeks. And the current situation of Australia and COVID restrictions from where I remember people saying she's from is... unknown (38).png
I'm almost certain that isn't the case. I won't go into the specifics but I assure you that someone from WA wouldn't just jet over to Indonesia and back at such short notice with the current rules in place.
I was informed of that after making my post. She could've traveled within Australia and maybe is quarantining but this rrat is otherwise dead.

Other rrat is that she's an artist and is on the slower side on getting commissions and stuff done and treats her vtubing career more of a side-gig (nothing wrong with this) and is more dedicated towards her artwork stuff so she's taking another 2 weeks to finish her stuff up that she delayed due to her dog unfortunately going through the classic akasupa chat LETS GOOOO message.

For Vtubers in particular I wonder if the twitch model of gifted subs would be entirely a good thing. It'll be good for the money for sure, but I know a lot of the girls use their members and membership streams as like an "inner circle" to be able to vent and blow off steam when talking with.

Like Polka knows she can chat with members and such when she's feeling down with the assurance that the people in her membership are people that closely support her. If suddenly her membership is filled with randos because some oil baron was shitting out free memberships that month than she's gonne have a lot of randos in her membership and lose that kinda comfy "I can drop the act and be real with my members" space.

Be interesting to see how this plays out for them.
Huh, hadn't thought of that. You're right, it's potentially gonna suck for those who trust their members and share more personal stuff with them. I wonder if the feature will be optional (as in, channel could opt out of letting viewers gift memberships), probably not though.

I'm not sure gifting memberships will even translate to a lot of extra money when people can just SC for their share of attention instead and it hasn't been baked into the culture, but who knows. Like you said, we'll just have to wait and see.

why in the shit the only Vtuber of Hololive that doesnt suck 3 kinds of ass in the Dark Souls of Mario Games is... Soda

Yeah, she was making progress at a rate that continued to surprise me (since it seemed to be her first time playing it). The penguin race took her what, two tries? Three? Pomu was pretty decent for a first-timer as well but not quite as good.

That’s gonna get really awkward when it gets to the girl’s gym teacher scene…
It's on Mumei's channel so chat started spamming the berries emote lmao.

As far as yabai goes, erect dick through the guy's ear was probably worse, or the dude plastering the girl to the ceiling.
They chatted a lot and kept going off-topic, which helped them sidestep stuff like the racial humor and anything else they wouldn't want to comment on.

Jesus Christ Australia.

So, clock's roommate commissioned some friend of hers to make some emotes, which most certainly means that she'll be back at streaming on twitch (which apparently she did). It seems kinda weird to me considering what she said in that members-only stream a few days ago, wouldn't it be too tiresome to be streaming as two personas at the same time?

At risk of sounding like a MGTOW
Do remember women being good at vidyas are the rare exception rather than the rule.
They are good at shit like Tetris and that seems to be about it.

Isnt Sora in her mid 30's (based on things she likes and based on other roommate-related information). She probably played it before as a kid or maybe played other similar-era games and thus remembers the janky-ass 3D from the early N64 days.

Instead of being on Minecraft 24/7 she can focus on her side gig and make some money on the side or work on more personal projects she couldn't work on before because she lacked either resources or experience.

It will be a month after those 2 weeks, but more to the point, it does seem a bit overkill to take 1 month just for a pet's death (though I would understand 3 weeks, it's just the extra week that kinda pushes it imo). I wonder if something else happened or if she had to work on some art-related stuff. Hopefully we'll know more about it on the members' stream. The important thing is that she's back in good spirits and that makes me a happy egg.
Gonna numberfag for a bit.

I feel bad for her (the whole situation) but at the same time, I feel like she fucked herself over. From all of EN2 she seems to be the one with the weakest content and out of the first 10 weeks she was absent for the last 4. That's huge especially given how important the first few months are for building up your audience. Maybe im wrong and she somehow manages to pull in new viewers but I have a feeling that once the girls start hitting the 1M mark in about a year or two, she will still be in the 500k mark.

That is plausible but also pretty unlikely, WA has pretty tough state borders at the moment, for example you wouldn't want to go to NSW or VIC (The most populated / plagued states) if you wanted to get back into WA any time soon.

Right now it seems to be more of a glorified walking simulator, but with enough autistic determination for their oshis, this could legitimately end up being a neat fan project. With how fan projects aren't allowed to monetize content, if the dev decides to abandon this, but also share the work files, it could give others something to springboard off of without having to make the springboard from scratch themselves. although, i dont make do games so i dont know if that's how that works.
Hey everyone! About a month ago I posted some screenshots for my fangame. You can see the original post here.
Since then, I've been working mostly on gameplay mechanics and also refining the player movement and stuff. In this video you can see some of those improvements, as well as Mio! She and Fubuki would be the starting characters. (Also please ignore some of the few missing things like sound effects and stuff. Still a WIP!)
Fubuki is also somewhat playable, but I haven't really made her combat animations yet so she doesn't do anything other than walking around. Her model was remade since the first post, and along with that, I made a universal character rig that can be used with her and any other future characters (Due to this, her old animations are not compatible and have to be remade). This allows me to create many different playable characters without having to remake basic animations (Movement ones like walking and the like) and can focus on making only animations that are specific to each character.
As for Mio, she doesn't use any sort of weapon other than her fists or legs, aswell as different skills that might cause AOE damage. In the clip above, you can see that her normal attacks deal mainly normal damage (represented by white numbers), but also apply a small DoT status effect that inflicts a smaller amount of fire damage. In the future, I plan on making her a sort of support/tank hybrid that specializes on giving different kinds of buffs to her teammates, while also applying debuffs on the enemies which scale with the amount of enemies in the vincinity. Fubuki would be a more straightforward DPS that focuses on mobility and crowd control.
As a side note, the map you see here isn't really the actual map I'll be using in the final game. It's only a testing map for art assets and the like. It has an area of roughly 8x8km, but most of it is completely empty. I'm still not sure how big the real map will be in the future, but once I begin conceptualizing it I'll have a rough estimate.
Hope you like it!

on why they haven't applied to work for HoloAlt:
I did consider it before, but there's two reasons why I didn't do it:
  • I live in Panama (Latin America)
  • My japanese skills would make Coco cringe
Dunno if they care about those two things, but for now I wanted to sharpen my game dev skills with this game. Though if they somehow contacted me then that'd be a whole other story :P

Dammit, though that would explain bit (the quarantine and art stuff). Feel bad for her, she's been gone 2 weeks, and being gone for a month might really damage her growth especially since it's been slow and hard to begin with.

Now that HoloAlt have been revealed to be a game, somewhat, he should have consider sending an application to Cover now. They probably need as much help as possible

Sana is returning on the 10th.

Adding: Glad she's feeling okay to come back. Not that I expected her to quit or anything, but you never know what stress she's going through behind the scenes and then losing her long time family pet, it's impossible to know how much someone can deal with before, no longer being able to deal with it.

It was great she joined in the Among Us collab, even if she didn't stream. I actually wouldn't mind the members being okay with this more, I know it already happens sometimes, but they should really consider it more often. Getting the the chance to do stuff together without the hassle of setting up everything to stream and the fun exchanges we've been getting. Her joining in also allowed YabaIRyS to get her Council clean sweep achievement.

Also Also: She'll be there for the Halloween collab and the Sport Festival.

Edit: Sigh, I thought looked through the previous posts carefully enough and didn't see it posted, had 30 pages to catch up on since I was last on. whelp. Late is late.
