Completely asinine when it comes to the Tranchers, but you're not quite right when it comes to Charles Shaw wine.Autistic moment:
Trader Joe's is not as fancy as some of y'all are making it out to be.
The big draw there is the wine affectionately known as 2 Buck Chuck, aka Charles Shaw Winery. It's a California blend where big labels sell the remnants of their harvest to Señor Shaw to throw in his vat and ferment. But the wine selection overall at my local is pretty great if you're looking to get trashed for cheap.
There's snack food, frozen pre-made foods like pizza and curry, meat, fish, dairy, canned foods, nuts and dried fruit, fruits and veggies, LOTS of cheese, and a particularly good bread selection.
Most of the stuff is "normal", I think, but they sometimes have weird shit like fiddleheads and if you were going to buy stuff like a bag of white rice or pinto beans that's not the best place. Maybe it's "normal" by way of California? YMMV.
As mentioned, the booze prices are great.
Booze is cheaper, but aside from that, you're going to spend the same as you would spend at, say, Safeway or another midrange grocery.
Like if you wanted to get a baguette, brie, salami, olives, an avocado, and a bottle of wine for a California-style picnic, you could do it for $20.

It's a private label wine specifically for Trader Joes made by Bronco Wine Company, known for farming, harvesting, and fermenting the shittiest wine grapes grown in California's central valley, specifically counties like Fresno and Madera counties, which are not known for the quality of their wines, but more the quantity they produce (Unlike say Lodi, or Clarksburg, AVA's in the Central Valley that are celebrated for certain varietals).
Bronco Wine Company also makes such illustrious brands as Whole Foods' Three Wishes, or other shitty labels such as Quail Creek or Crane Lake that you'll find in supermarkets. They are known for their careless farming practices, and more specifically their machine harvesting and processing of the grapes. If you drink a bottle of their wine, you're guaranteed to be drinking the essence of some rattlesnake and rat that got caught up in the machine harvester.
Now that said, other Trader Joe's private labels can actually be quite the bargain. It's my understanding that TJs will buy shiners, which is essentially a batch of wine that's already made and ready for somebody to slap their own label on it. Shiners are usually produced by wineries who may have had a bumper crop and are trying to offload some wine they don't think they'll be able to sell under their own label, or are trying to move through an older vintage to make room for a new vintage. The quality can vary, but the shiner market is actually full of some high quality wines at decent prices that just cannot be sold through preferred markets.

They're more of an actual cold weather base layer than "leggings" and for merino wool stuff they're actually on the cheap side. Some of the things are weird though, are they for other people on the tranch? What would kevin want with a Kershaw and a Vortex optic?

Not sure if this has been talked about yet since I don't really keep up with this thread or have the time to read through enough pages to check so apologies if it's been posted already, but this (live version) crossed my twitter front page today. It doesn't seem to have gotten a lot of traction, which is surprising as OP has some pull in the furry community but also is...unsurprising in that people are willing to forgive the tenacious unicorn people for virtually anything on the grounds of being transgender.

Older, pre-common rail diesel engines can run off cooking oil. Results in increased wear on the injection, provides worse mileage and performance, but it's definitely possible.

Good catch. Don't think I've seen this mentioned ITT yet. The tranch coffee being sourced by Jesus Freaks was originally pointed out here by @Mealy Mouth Spittle. Apparently some twitter antifa furry noticed this as well and made a post about it which got a response from Penny.
