Idk, I always thought calling it a disease was a goofy, but well intentioned, way of saying it's not the addict's fault. But it is their fault. Nobody's forcing them to consume drugs or booze. Not sure who is being helped by destigmatizing addiction - maybe the stigma helped keep people sober. Maybe the stigma against trannies helped stop guys like this ruining their lives.

12 steps and prayers definitely work. But only for people who were determined to quit in the first place, in which case it might just be a placebo. But a placebo that helps people is a good thing.

Middle aged autogynephilia seems like a similar kind of addiction to drugs and alcohol. When you read the stories of trans widows, it usually starts out with occasional crossdressing and porn, escalating over time (like chemical addiction, they need to indulge more and more just to feel the same high) until he has some kind of mid life crisis and troons out.

Looks like that's what's happened to this guy. The sad part is that nobody would tell drunks it's stunning and brave to live their truth as a shit-stained hobo slurping lysol under a bridge, but troons have entire online communities, massive corporations and the medical industry actively encouraging them to destroy themselves. Here at the Kiwi Farms Institute For Curing Troons And Other Mongoloids, we make fun of them because we actually care.

I do feel like there's an undercurrent philosophy in medical industry. It's the basis of troonism, the basis of 'disease model of addiction', the basis of anything that cause people to lose the concept of self-responsibility and accountability. Something in the medical industry that wants to treat people like little spoiled children.

The way we start to enable mental illness "because it makes them happy", instead of trying to get them to accept reality... Or how we are shying away from the idea that mental illness are oftentimes not 'permanent and fundamental' state, but rather a product of environmental stress and life events, and they can be treated if they're determined to change, and are given an effortful therapy to slowly work through it. But no - No one's got time for that!, take some pills, or cross-sex hormones and surgery. Get the drug to be n for the rest of your life and you're set.

We like quick fix, we want to sell quick fix, we want to tell our patients that a lot of their issues that's usually caused by their own decision is NOT their fault. I agree with you that anti-stigma campaign can be well intentioned and helpful in the short term. It allows people who are sobering to be more accepted because addiction is not seen a moral failure* (purity culture) but just a disease that they can't help. In a way it is correct, because chemical dependecy is real, BUT the moment you put the drug or alcohol into your system the first few times - it's totally your decision. And it's on your own, if you decide to do drugs or troon out.

In the long term, though. It feels like it actually erodes people's empathy. People are having a hard time simply forgiving someone because people don't have the concept the wrongdoer can change for the better, and that to be human is to make mistake. Instead of forgiveness, they only know exemption.

They'd make an 'exemption' for people who are labelled 'marginalised' and fundamentally broken, you make an exemption of someone bad behaviour because they're labelled 'mentally ill', and you don't believe they have the ability to change... so you need to accept them that way while they're wrecking up their livelihood, others that surround them, while the establishment reaps the benefits. And those people didn't really get to learn how to get over their issues and addiction in the first place, they don't get the call, the realisation that makes them realise they are responsible, so they are likely to end up with a replacement.

I feel like wherever this idea came from, it seems like a perfect marriage of protestant purity culture - where moral mistakes are unforgivable, as committing bad things shows you to be an inherently evil person. and The consumerist/capitalist culture, where happiness and self-actualisation can be marketed, bought and sold. - And identity is just a brand name.

They'll all progress into the next class of Self Appointed Sacred Cow, they'll become the symbolic "VICTIMS OF GENDER THEORY" and they will build their lives upon that. They will have their own ceremonial path to tread. Doctors to denounce, clinics to sue, books to write, talk show hosts to talk to. They'll continue to be their own protected species of human who is so much more special than the rest of us.

It's already happening, You see much of detransitioners are claiming to be themselves to be sad victims who are chasing for another surgical addiction high to (impossibly) reverse themselves from their 'totally not my mistake!' moment? Not to mention a huge amount of them still have fucked up ideas about gender and genitals. I found these people even more infuriating than delusional trannies we are laughing here...

Another type that annoys me is the regretting or self-aware troons, who are harping about how trooning out ruined their lives, yet they're partaking in their delusional LARP. The tranny version of an addict who'd tell kids to not do drugs.

And for people who will be arguing me that "..But they 'cannot' detransition because of how much changes that are done to their body"... Well, I see 'detransitioning' as a denouncement of an ideology and accepting the truth that they can't change sex. It's not about getting the reversal procedures, because nothing can be fully reversed. Or else they are still stuck into the same mindset that made them a troon in the first place.

I really think that where a lot of lesbians (and gays) make a misstep in dealing with troons is in trying to reason with them. It’s just like straight women trying to deal with incels: there’s no point in reasoning with them. They aren’t going to hear you out. If they were ever going to examine their own behavior, they’d have done it by now. They’re not suddenly going to develop empathy, either. Best option is just to ghost the minute you find out you’re talking to a troon.

They absolutely insist all TERFs are white. Lol. And LSA along with KF exhibits in some of its forums some of the few lucid takes on the internet. They’re ignored because nobody wants to advertise when black woman are actually based lol.

I have an account there, I’ve never identified my race, but the natural southern cadence of my internet writing style seems to be enough to fit in. =)

Black women have their own unique struggle. Almost all black troons are gay. So while non-black women have to fend off the AGPs, black women don't, since AGPs have made it clear they consider black women to be men.

But black troons have written MULTIPLE articles and started numerous Twitter fights over the idea that the only reason they have trouble dating straight black men is that black women are holding the men back. If only black women would - imagine this shit - if only black women would *refuse to fuck any black man who refuses to fuck black transwomen*, then the problems would be solved.

So a group of women who already don’t have enough available men in their community who want to date them are supposed to force the few men they have around to fuck trannies. Stunning as it is this is actually what those troons demand.

You have to realize, though, that black troons are raised by indulgent black moms and grandmas, so they’re used to black women muling for them. Explains why they are so enraged by black women refusing to procure dick for their use.
