Diseased TV Tropes community

Irrelevance is the bread and butter of TV Tropes. It has an almost magnetic attraction to obsessives that swarm the place, shoving square pegs in round holes. Like the ponyfags.

Speaking of!

Here is an entire page with subpages of a thing that does not fucking exist
meanwhile, classic liteature gets little to no coverage and old articles are not having any little revisions
let's just leave it at that I hate it when someone in TV tropes says that because it shows a sign of weakness

I believe this might be a sign of the coming of the Rapture.

Five people have contributed to this page. Five.
meanwhile monster girl quest gets taken off and lolita is still a controversial piece in that page.

To play Devil's advocate, TVTropes is meant to be a nerdy site. The work of Dostoyevsky isn't going to have more words or info than the Star Trek franchise. Although that only explains so much, considering that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is the most detailed thing on that damn site. I got nothing on that.

It means there's one big connection brick.

Most of the spergs there are fanboys and fangirls of that show. Either we have a lot of no-account guys who register to sperg more, or lots of the established members became fans and wanted to sperg all over it. Either way, they treat it like it's a forum for it.

In practice even with the removal of fetish fuel and turn on tropes it still is an autistic fetish site

Fun fact: Fast Eddie and most of the staff unironically DESPISE Lolita.
I strongly doubt any of them has read the book.

aaaand they just yanked Assigned Male's entry on the Horrible Webcomics page because of the "hatred" and "blatant transphobia" (despite it pretty accurately summarizing a lot of people's problems with the strip)

jfc these fucking people sometimes
You can't reason with these people: even with the departure of Fast Eddie, the rest of the mods are either trapped in the aging hippies mindset -- everyone can and must get along beautifully. Or they are petulant, spoiled children who can't stand criticism.

Trust me, I don't think half the internet has anything on that beyond the obvious answer of "Bronies". Makes you wonder where the real priorities are.

Not the first time it did. The first time it happened was because a couple fluff pieces and Tumblr posts talking positively about it constituted positive reviews and evidence of a fanbase. And do note that whoever put it back did it against consensus. I mean, a good chunk of the spergs editing the article probably think ir sucks anyway but rules are rules.

Even back when I supported the site rulefags were the fucking worst. They turned the SCP Foundation page into an absolute nightmare to read and/or edit.
