US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

1 is simply not an option, too much global pressure has been made on it. We can chat till we are blue in the face as to how and why, but the simplest problem here is that it has its own momentum. There is no winding this down or declaring it over until something breaks somewhere or enough countries start moving away from it to open up the field.

2 is also not possible -unless- Joe strokes the fuck out and they cannot hide it. Kamala is just too damn hated.

3 is also not possible, they already saif they are going forward with em because they really, really don't have any other plays. I mentioned this before but I will reiterate, with the Cabal war going on, anything that was not agreed to prior to it simply cannot occur. As soon as something did try to occur every member of the cabal would quash it to prevent anyone else from getting an advantage or boon. The mandates were prior soooo, that ship keeps sailing.

4. Add a few more zeros to that probability.

Regarding 1: Is the widespread supply line issues something broken enough already for them to act, or do they have to wait until we see the equivalent of a Black Friday with Empty Shelves? I assume whatever happens has to happen widespread enough to the normies - Christmas being a disaster maybe?

I don't think the other countries moving first is likely - They've sunk a lot into mocking the American response, they'd never get away with doing less than them, in my eyes.

I'd say you are right and wrong on them responding. If they can 'wind down' while maintaining their own felt superiority they can do it. See Australia finally slowly opening up as an example. But realistically, the former is going to occur well before the lattter.

So, I have ben mulling this over for a while, and I would like peoples, especially @Gehenna's. These are the scenarios I have been red teaming in my mind for how the Biden administration can try and keep the ship from slipping completely beneath the waves.

1. End the pandemic by simply declaring Covid endemic and telling everyone to just go about their lives and pivot to something else and drop things like mandates and have Fauci "retire to spend time with his family". While this would get some temporary screeching from the branch covidians it would be fairly easy and play pretty well and the MSM would likely carry this water for them as they are used to sudden and contradictory changes in direction from this administration, and have shown plenty of readiness to carry water for it. The downside here is that this would put more of a spotlight on other issues such as the economy and international relations that have also plagued the administration.

2. 25th Joe and slide Kamala in and otherwise stay the course. This one is fairly obvious, send Joe to shit himself in peace and and let heels up run the show. She is a non-entity and Jill Biden appears loathe to relinquish her grasp on what part of presidential power she wields. Things likely continue as the are now but with worse approval ratings and psycho laughter instead unintelligible gibberish. While the downsides are obvious, there are some small potential upsides, namely that Harris is her own person, and though an intellectual light weight she is in possession of her faculties and is her own person who is likely to replace many of Biden's advisors with her own, though whether that would be good or bad is a known unknown.

3. Soft cancel vaccine mandates. Do this by tying them to a vague date in the future dependent on some nebulous goal. My play would be that given the current economic situation that vaccine and other covid mandates are suspended until annualized GDP growth is at 3.5% per anum and inflation falls back to November 2019 levels. These are concrete goals true, but mays as well be unachievable while this administration is in office, and if it does happen by the time it does everyone will have forgotten about covid and the mandates can be killed in the interim while no one is looking. This is buys them little as it is in many ways the worst of all the options before them, but this ultimately what I think they will end up doing is something along this track.

4. Replace Everybody, aka the hotseat two step. This the least likely but would be the best for the country, so it has no real chance of happening. First find a way to send Kamala packing, the ideal method is for Fienstein to retire and have her take her Senate seat. Once that happens replace her with someone who can actually govern, and do so from a centrist position. I think the best candidate would be Louisiana Govenor John Bel Edwards, a blue governor of a red state. From there 25th Joe and rebuild the administration the model of a Government of National Unity, ie half red half blue with a focus on fixing the economy and quickly declaring an end to covid. This will not happen but let me dream.

Odds of each scenario:
1. 15:1

As far as I can tell they're invested 1000% in the Covid tyranny, so #1 and #3 are no-gos. Partially because there's an agenda to reform society using the virus as a justification, and also because the fear of Covid is probably the most effective tool they have left to make the masses obey them. There are still people who trust Biden to protect them from Covid, if the pandemic ends that psychological leverage goes away.

As for #2, replacing Joe with Kamala will just take them out of the frying pan and into the fire. They can try to blame the mishaps that've happened up til now on Biden, but there'll be more problems and Kamala is utterly charmless. She'll have even less political capital than Joe and given the makeup of the Senate it may not be possible to seat a replacement VP, so they lose the Senate tie-breaker. When she tries to tell people they need to cancel Christmas because of the pandemic it'll go over like a lead balloon.

They would never do #4, it would be an admission they've royally screwed up which they will never, ever do.

The Republican candidate will appear to have a big lead and then whoopsie some computer error, gas/water leak, natural disaster, terrorist attack, bad weather whatever will stall the ballot counting and over a week or so after the election enough ballots for the Democratic candidate will trickle in to push him to victory.

I know 4 is a fever dream at best, but a man can dream. My thinking with #1 &#3 is that at the end of the day these people are rational actors and once the mid terms are staring them in the face they will begin to act like such. Politics is all about power, and what good is power if you are out of power? If they change their tune sooner rather than later they may be able to staunch some of the inevitable massive blood loss that is going to ensue in a years time. But then I suppose I deserve an optimistic rating for thinking these people would put rational action above ideology when facing complete electoral slaughter.

Then I must question what kind of people Salubrious is surrounded by, nothing I have seen has indicated this particular rot has gone into the mainstream left's thought process. Yes, I am aware it has been trending towards this for quite some time, but I do not think it is yet at that point for anyone not still on the fringe. In my case Obama decided to establish a marsh refuge where my home is. This was done through a back door where private citizens can donate land to the Fish and Wildlife service and they go "welp, guess people really wanted this" without a public comment period.

Now I had always figured "Give people universal healthcare so they shut the fuck up about it but don't touch my land." Which they responded to by putting me and mine in the sights of a government bureaucracy.

And they genuinely cannot figure out why this pisses me off. They cannot realize that their attitude of "Well, that's a YOU problem but you really need to support Democrats despite them fucking you over" was an issue.

If I remember correctly this thread of conversation was about "Let's go Brandon." They hate that because so many people are doing it now. Every time that chant starts, their brains short out because "HOW FUCKING DARE THESE PEOPLE DISAGREE! HOW DARE THEY NOT BEND THE KNEE AND ACCEPT THE LEASH!? DO THESE PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND WE HAVE THEIR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART!?" At the core of it is the hubris of the liberal.
