I'm on the same page with this, I probably would've really liked Kiki when I was an edgy /b/tard back in like 2007. Offensive humour is fine and all, but when the extent of the joke is just "burn the gays" then it isn't really even a joke, it's just "lol so random and edgy!" It gets old quick, because there's no substance to it.
Happiness is a foolish pursuit, Pippa. There isn't a person alive who became happy by willing themselves to be so. Emotions are hardly controllable, you can however effect your actions. Strong actions and making achievable and meaningful goals lead to good outcomes, that is the hard but fruitful road to those fleeting moments of happiness in life.

Hamsters can be fickle pets. My siblings and I all got hamsters once, so we had three dwarf hamsters total in the household. We gave them each similar sized cages, kept them fed, gave them water, but one of them ended up dying maybe a month or two after we bought him. We were fairly young at the time, so yeah, we weren't exactly hamster raising experts, but we never noticed anything wrong with the little guy before he suddenly passed. Eventually, we bought another so my sister wouldn't feel left out, and that trio of hamsters lived to about their life expectancy without much issue, so we never had a definitive answer for what happened to the first hamster. We kind of suspect that we had unknowingly bought an older hamster from the store and he just didn't have much left in him. They only live for about two years on average, so he could have just been an outlier that wasn't selling until we picked him up.
