If any of the defendants had a hand in that it would be hilarious. Although, that said, it'd be very odd for a hotel to bow down to some anime randos to interfere with some other anime rando.

Charitably I think the people organizing the repair were just incompetent.

I'd say it was AWA that shut it down. AWA is ran by Faisal Ahmed. You may recognize him from the affidavit he submitted where he said he was told that Erika was kissed by Vic. Erika disputed that claim.

Hell, Erica McCord herself disputed the claim.

If it comes back on appeal that would be an interesting question to ask the hotel.
