I love that we virtually have actual Swiss former military dudes as advisors now for these threads. Truly, the deployment to the Shadthread duty station is a difficult one.
Thoughts on Shadman's overall conscription service?
Since it seems that he did his five months and hasn't done any of the annual training or anything like that, is it possible he'd get in some trouble if he were to ever return to Switzerland for shirking his responsibilities? (Given he didn't get a discharge or administrative severence with more permanence)
But yeah, I am inclined to agree that the individual is not Shad. Even if Shad were to put on some considerable weight through nutrition and body building, his body type simply would not match this man's middle-rung enlisted, possible NCOdadbod. Besides, if it were Shad - I doubt he'd LARP as a modern Swiss soldier anyways. The only reason he even mentions his prior conscription is just to gloat that he drew art through most of it and he got to shoot some real guns once.

It would be amazing to speak to some of the guys who actually had to serve with him, imagine the antics during his service time
I doubt he'd get in trouble when returning to Switzerland. During peace time, the swiss army is pretty lax and if you're abroad you don't have to do the annual training courses or the annual qualification with your service weapon. After your mandatory service, you're still a reservist for a couple of years, usually till your early 30s. Shad is probably around the age where he would be discharged from the reserves, so i don't think the army would even waste time with bothering him ever again.

Surely. I am vaguely familiar with his time from my own conscription in [REDACTED]. Those dudes really don't crawl back where I'm from and I fucking doubt he was popular with his unit. Every battalion has an "artist", but most of the time, they'd prefer another soldier. Being a bit of both is not a bad thing, we all appreciate a man who can draw some funny graffiti or play a mean guitar, but damn - everyone "full on artist" like Shad I encountered I would not trust with an air conditioning unit, let alone a gun.
Ah, this checks out. Had a brief talk with another Swiss person who had just finished his initial obligation. Seemed he had a good time. I'm just so used to conscriptions where it is like you're in, you're out, its all good. The inactive reserve stuff for the Swiss makes sense. All in all, an interesting place. A shame its been sullied by someone like Shad's existence.
Can you imagine going on a ruck with someone like Shad? He's the type of guy to be that weird, eccentric schizoid story teller. "Yeah, I stabbed a guy before" types. The ones who people tolerate enough not to out right state he's lying, but everyone knows.
Shad really had all the tools to be a decent person. But I am sure that rather than excelling with some discipline and direction, he probably stumbled over his own boots during marching and slept through muster.

I went through some replies and just did my best to find some interesting things about Shad, to potentially shed more light on just what the fuck he is putting in his arm.
Nothing special here, just standing by a church at night and taking photos of himself. Non-drug addled people do this all the time in Cali I am sure. Especially while dressing as some Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy/Evil Con Carne side character.
Shadman really is the type of villain to appear in a Craig McCracken or Butch Hartman cartoon. An example of "the bad guy you can't befriend and probably shouldn't", used to teach kids that not everyone is worth the benefit of the doubt.
Now, my main little find.
Seemingly, this is the ever sober and morally responsible Shad hiding up in a tree. A man climbing to heaven, trying to escape hell. You hear cases fairly frequently of people abusing drugs and climbing shit, digging holes.
If it were to come out that Shad was only *just* doing Adderall, weed and booze, I'd honestly be dead fucking surprised. His facebook page also shows some non-twitter shots he took, the moon through some trees and what is seemingly a window into some building adjacent to the tree he was climbing or actually gazing down an elevator shaft (or up). It is genuinely hard to tell do to the distorted, low quality images.
When Shad does emerge again, I am afraid that it will probably be utterly underwhelming. If he was smart, he'd take a considerable break from any sort of social media until he was having more than just a moment of clarity every other day.
But let's be honest, his inactivity is a sign of either his worst days to come or some intervention or the other. Possibly even an arrest.

Unless Shadman is taking a leaf out of Stamper's book and holding several Twitter accounts at once: but for what purpose? It makes more sense that it's just a troll when you read back though all the other posts. Also very few "art" posts of Shadman's shit on the LiquidShad account.

Most likely clout chasing and getting asspats.A more risky endeavour would be to take Solid Shad's place since he pretty much has no support from big names and he's a rambling schizo. He can easily pretend to be shad while not posting any kind of art since what has Solid Shad done in the last year? Next to fucking nothing. People pretty much expect the guy to ramble around like a schizo. If Liquid Shad threw one or two bones he would be doing more than Solid Shad and he would probably gain some momentum over him, probably becoming Solid Shad's wake up call to get his shit together and start dishing out some new content for his usual suspects.
Plus, if Solid Shad goes radio silent for quite some time, Liquid Shad can easily take up the place where Solid Shad stood as long as he's an edgy boy that puts a minimal amount of effort into giving people edgy stuff.

If he puts ads on it he could possibly earn some Youtube bucks on Shadman's popularity (which apparently still exists for whatever fucking reason?)
This isn't the first time Shadman's gone radio-silent either. I can't be arsed right now to go through the bastard's twitter again - I'm sick of seeing all his shitty CP under nondescript spoilers all through his twitter feed: it's like a goddamn CP minefield in there. I could bring a reason, but it makes absolutely no sense. There is absolutely no reason for Solid Shad to leave his account knowing that everything in his life is tied to it. Many artists (mainly NSFW) really struggle to get their numbers up on new accounts after getting shafted by Jack, so making another account for a stablished artist is essentially making your own life more difficult.
We can pretty much say with 99% safety, that Liquid Shad has no relation to the real one. I just hope they start some sort of autistic battle like Liquid Chris started with Chris-chan. That would make for a very interesting trashfire
