for context - a friend was stuck in another city through covid and recently returned. we were catching up and i told her that in her absence i fell into a rabbithole of fucked up trans youtubers and joined a hate forum to discuss them because the censorship everywhere else was so intense.

she asked me which youtubers because she had a job while she was away and had a dumb young coworker who would coincidentally tell her about youtubers he was obsessed with and his favourites were these progressive lgbtq types. i told her the main one i like to discuss was a moron called philosophy tube and crazily enough she had heard the name and asked if they had transitioned. (yes) recently?!?! (yes, earlier this year).... her coworker came to work shortly after olly's public transition announcement and he told her all about it and said he was really taken aback by the whole thing because there was no prior indication of like..... wanting to be a woman or particularly feminine proclivities. he said that he really looked up to olly as a male role model figure, because he was a sensitive guy who was open about his feelings and cares about causes and stuff... (this is a young gay dude who wasn't accepted by his family for being a queer softie).... and he thought it was so out of left field he wondered if being sensitive and caring as a man meant that maybe you're actually more feminine and started wondering about his own gender identity.....



so basically.... it's not just us. the "fans" see the dissonance too - and they find it so troubling they tell their coworkers that they're torn up about it in an effort to process. because they can't stop thinking about how wrong and weird it seems LOL.

Assuming he's a transbian he actually has more options for marriage than a cis lesbian. If this is him once again complaining that he'd legally have an "M" next to his name, that only applies for civil partnerships. Marriage certificates don't have them:

Or just get a gender recognition certificate, you're not going to be marrying Claire within the next two years anyway.
