I've got an analysis.... so for Arab diaspora woke girls, they all fit this model to a T:
- General 2nd generation immigrant insecurity (in two cultures and none at the same time)
- Were ugly or considered ugly in high school- discovered fashion, makeup and tweezers in college so glowing up from a 3 to a 7 gives a boost of confidence but it's still late enough to still remain resentful
- Sorta smart but not too impressive. They can get into whatever college they want but will study something lame which will always be seen inferior to their brother/cousin who are working on their doctorates.
- Genuine double standards within their community- mother will be HARSH and hyper-critical to them whereas their brothers are mamas boys who are praised whenever they piss or sneeze
- Want to play the oppression olympics but know they aren't disadvantaged in any meaningful sense of the word, so cling onto BLM and grasp at straws with Islamophobia nonsense.
It all leaves them feeling very bitter. It’s all bottled upper-middle class resentment more than anything else, and when you throw them into the social justice university scene this is the end result.
I've noticed is that on tiktok there will be an occasional vid about “this white girl made fun of me in middle school for wearing a hijab and NOW she's posting selfies in Dubai on instagram” and when you question why it’s a BAD thing and not a sign of normalization, they’ll get pissed.
I’m sure this applies to Indian diaspora girls too but I’m only familiar with the Arab ones lol.
This kind of applies to Arab guys too but it's not as in your face, they'll listen to Kendrick Lamar and make the odd political social media post whenever shit goes down in Kashmir or the Gaza Strip and think they’re the equivalent of Malcolm X but they’ll go back to calling each other the gamer word and questioning if the Holocaust actually happened 5 minutes later so it's not as much of an act.
