I think many people are starting to wake up to the woke ideology IMO.
We've seen a lot of progressive darlings falling out of favor because they just happened to not be is woke as the current society would like them to be.
The two bigs examples that come to mind are LMM and Tom Hanks which as of this year had a bunch of Articles written about them .
All of this political cannibalism from the progressives along with the constant vilification of just about anything is exactly why what happened in Virginia went down.
It's going to happen again next year.

Pass me the white hood too! Among all the awful things about social justice in general and BLM in particular, this shit makes my blood boil! Why is it racist to judge black people not only as individuals but as thinking adults? Where did SJWs come to such an ironically racist conclusion? It should be considered a good, anti-racist thing to not judge blacks for being black.

I disagree. This is how Puritanism works, and the rapid devouring of insufficiently Puritan public figures is a sign that it is successful. Every time they become “more extreme” the old boundaries of extremity get pushed further in their direction, and the new outrage supplants the old ones.

Without truly sweeping political change, I don’t see anything changing in the foreseeable future.

I only say so because it really just proves that you can never be woke enough.
The big issue with the left is that they can never agree on anything besides capitalism being evil.
That's why whenever they get the ball they end up infighting what counts as proper progressiveness and things shift to the right.
Because for all of their flaws conservatives almost always agree on everything.
