Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? There's a pretty appealing story there with her rising to prominence after a miraculous win at the age of 28, and if they're able to marry that and her progressive image with the moderate temperament that Speaker Pelosi et al. are clearly trying to pound into her... Well, there you go!

Yeah, but there had been shit going on from 2016 until 2020 that nobody really knew much about because the endless whining about Russian hackers and Orange Hitler's supposed dirty dealings sucked all the proverbial oxygen(and attention) out of the proverbial room. Remember that Times Magazine article where they came *this close* to bragging about how they(the dems) committed electoral fraud? Yeah. Biden wouldn't have won without that. He was also running on the platform that he was not Trump, e.g. an unknown quantity. Well, that quantity is known now, and is being widely rejected not even a year into his term. A lot of people who voted for him because he was "not Trump" are suddenly going to be voting for anyone who is "not Biden" after finding out exactly how effective Biden is as a president.

I think if we saw a Trump vs. Biden rematch in 2024, it's gonna turn out like Virginia: the mismatch will be so great that no amount of fortification would be able to steal the election again.
