Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

"To be fair", the write-in candidate was the incumbent and current mayor.

I'm kind of more curious how he lost his own party's primary in the first place. Maybe the voters didn't realize how crazy the woman was and "got a second chance."
Also iirc the more devoted members tend to vote in primaries, with others only voting in the general.

And guess which faction is the most devoted in terms of on-the-ground with Dems?

Edit: Also wanted to note that my sister and her friends are complaining about Biden on Facebook, due to rising costs. These are people who have no knowledge of Afghanistan (I asked). So the normies are starting to feel the heat.

I've caught up on the thread, and the OSHA stuff really enrages me. The worst part is that they are still saying that their other mandates haven't resulted in mass firings. But that seems to be because they are covering it up: for instance, having a month straight of "high winds" at airports.

I don't even know how they can prove you're vaccinated. I am not going to show anyone my card.

A local hospital was acting all sad about the mandate because they're going to lose a fuckton of people if they press it (because they've tried and backed down), but they're like "oh, but we have to :( the government said we gotta."

I think it's people/companies just giving in that really upsets me. We're talking pushing millions of people out of work here, where they'll have nothing to lose. In a labor shortage. With supply chain issues. And inflation.

I will not comply. I will not fake a card, Fuck them. BURN.

And they are willfully ignoring the obvious feedback loop. I don't have to mention it, but every single one of the things you mentioned at the end are rooted in the fucking mandate! It's fucking nuts!

If they hired anyone in my field with even vague levels of competence then yes, yes they are. I know there are a -lot- of Wisconsin Democrats who are suddenly very, very interested with bipartisanship.
:story:

That's all I have to say to that.

Just :story:

Not that I don't believe you. I don't believe them.

Remind me, why is this even being laundered through OSHA and the CDC in the first place? Why can't Congress use its profoundly well-arrayed Dems to do this?

Doesn't letting Brandon take the heat kind of give the game away that it's poison?
Because Dems can't pass a legislative bill worth saving since 2010 and has resorted to abusing executive privileges to push their agenda through.

When you put it like that it seriously feels like the Democrats expended decades worth of political capital just to get Obamacare passed. They had a supermajority and an extremely popular new president with a mandate and they blew it on a huge giveaway to the health insurance companies.

Absolutely.

While not American, I have always heard grumblings that Obamacare basically fucked the little man all around, with little to show for it. Oh cool, every preventable disease is now covered, here's your $2000 co-pay and 100% increase in premiums; enjoy. Oh and you get fined if you don't pay in so lube up, fucko.

There's a reason why "Thanks Obama!" was immensely memetic during the final years of 2015-2016. Much like "Let's go, Brandon!" is, now.

It wasn't even good for insurance companies. Obamacare, even as the pitch against pre-existing conditions, failed the basic premise of insurance; risk pools determining cost of coverage. Every other dumb thing from Obamacare, like the rising tax penalty for not having insurance and requiring companies that have over 100 full-time employees to provide, flow from this basic failure of insurance.

That was also probably the last time Democrats genuinely tried to persuade the public. They gave up halfway through and started blatantly lying. Since then, they don't even attempt to sell their shit, they just do it.

How does this headline even make sense?
At this point they are really asking for it. Like please republicans do it . Audit everything even the school board election . Like balls deep no lube no quarter given to these asholes .

It increased paperwork to an insane degree and also removed coverage for a large number of routine tests that we just don't do anymore now. So, add on "bad for hospitals/doctors" to the list. Great for paper pushers though. Created a bunch of jobs in medical billing.

They did. Obama won on, in part, his seeming more competent than McCain in being able to handle the October Surprise of the Housing Crisis, which IIRC broke open between debates right before the election.

And rather than focus on fixing the economy, the very first thing he did was ram Obamacare through and burn up his political capital in a spectacular fashion.

Journalists need to learn to code to lobby the federal government.

Seriously though why? Why "local news organizations"? How are those people going to help the Left significantly?
A lot of local news outfits are now owned by large corporations like Advance and Meredith.

Also there is that Soros firm that just declared it is gearing up its widely derided propaganda outfit, Good Information, previously Courier Newsroom, for more extensive local coverage in key areas.

They already control all the big national outlets, of course they will need to eventually control the local ones. The last independent outlets in my area disappeared long ago, its all lying globohomo outlets now (and boy does it show!).
