Yeah, I don't see how he defends on this one. If he hadn't spectacularly claimed his motives while doing it ("no more hanukkah!") , maybe he could convince a judge that it was just a childish prank, or he just thought the sign was an eye-sore, or whatever. But he probably is violating the letter and the spirit of the law. However stupid and overbroad it may be.

Even if he argues that it's "just entertainment," he's specifically entertaining by way of racism/discrimination/buzzwords. His best defense might be "actually, I put the sign up myself." But I get the feeling they'll figure out who actually put it up.
