So far, the hard R has been the most entertaining part of the trial- the rest so far is boring hours of Binger fishing for nuggets he can use.
Binger is a total slimeball, but he's a clever and skilled prosecutor- he just has no real case so he has to try every dirty trick and cheat he can think of to get the jury on his side. Getting the court to play a video with a doctored title that puts the words "Kyle Rittenhouse" and "Miltia" on the screen together every time it's paused or has a mouse-over is well, scummy, but effective at putting that idea in front of the jury even if it isn't admissible. On day two he got a lot of BS like that through (like conspicuously managing to play clips of people calling team kyle a "militia" several times while scrolling through the various videos.
McGinnis testimony was much better for the defense than for Binger- not sure why he was even called as a prosecution witness. When Binger kept pressing him to answer a certain way, you could see the "fuck it" in McGinnis' eyes just before he came out and openly said RosenPedo was going for the gun.
Gravy Seal (I love that term!) from Meal Team Six (OMG, this makes me LOL)- was pretty much useless as a witness, almost nothing he said was relevant since he was too busy trying to decide between twinkies and Ho-Hos to see the critical events. The one thing he got out that was damaging to Binger's case was the part where RosenPedo threatened to murder everyone. Binger was grasping for "reckless endangerment" when he was asking about full metal jacket and overpenetration but it's a weak argument, especially considering that despite having military training, Gravy Seal is not a qualified firearms/use of force/ballistics expert. (why the fuck didn't richards object to that just to fuck with Binger?)
The twitter cop's testimony probably should've been thrown out since he was not present for any of the video footage, and can't make any statements that validate or lay foundation for them, and Binger only asked leading questions which are always objectionable- Richards could've objected to almost every question and at least forced Binger to rephrase them enough to give twittercop an opportunity to fuck up his pre-rehearsed-pre-coached answers.
Still, most of this stuff is all theater at this point- the real meat will come next week when we get to see Disarmed Gage describe the events where he fucked up so bad he got his arm vaporized by a teenager because he was too stupid to realize that attacking a kid carrying a gun who's already had to defend himself recently is a monumentally stupid idea, and he should consider himself lucky that he didn't get two to the body and one to the head like he deserved.
OK. I'm a little biased. But I think it's ok to delete a terminally stupid pedo and friends if they attack someone in a manner that deserves a darwin award.
