I'm not familiar with production, but is there any case where a TTS is preferable to a voice changing program? I just can't imagine it's worth the awkwardness when you could just blast your voice to make it unrecognizable.

I watched like one Zen video and tapped out because the TTS was grating.
I believe it would be quite easy to tell if someone was using a voice-changer.

Yep, japanese corpos are still in the medieval ages and if you are with a corporation you need written permits to stream and monetize their games, several companies have already give permits and made deals with Cover but there are some like FROMSOFTWARE or Atlus that just outright refuse to let people stream their games because muh sells

Meanwhile western devs dont give a shit and to this day are still weirded of japanese corpos asking for permits

They did not have permits/reason to do it, now that Endwalker is coming and already have Square permits what better way to start the second wave, RIP the servers tho
By that reasoning, majority of the world is living in medieval ages. The American doctrine of fair use is relatively unique on the international stage with how loosely and broadly copyright exceptions are allowed and while it certainly influenced the way western game development circles consider transformative content based on broadcasting your playthrough, I have no doubt streams could easily be sanctionable in many countries if the devs or publishers had will to do it (and risk bad PR).
There's also the fact that it's chuba corporations we're talking about, the legal department (or at least lawyers they may be retaining) are likely very anal about written permissions - it's always a proof that can be shown during an eventual showdown in the court after all, why risk losing?

Sad thing is I really do kinda feel for Zen. People shit on them a lot but afaik zentreya hasn't really done anything "against" anyone, just cause inconvenience with reschedules and annoying people, right?
Idk it feels like zen has some legit mental health issues and is kinda losing the group of friends they were comfortable with. Last year before it was "vshojo" when it was just a bunch of streamers hanging out they had some issues still but it seems to be a constant thing since it became more organized toward a business model. I could be wrong, idk I think zen is having more meltdowns though because they don't feel their previous support group is as accessible to them, which is understandable.

I've heard that they found out their grandmother died whilst they were in the middle of a stream about a week ago.

So yes, I am sympathetic of their waning mental health and the circstances surrounding it. I do not consider Zen to be a lolcow, just a more-than-irritating collab partner that is otherwise pretty fucking innocuous. I do not want to see Zen leave VShojo if they don't wish for it.

What I DON'T understand is how their go-to whenever they're having a depressive episode is to start making it look like they and VShojo have severed ties, or distance themselves away from the company temporarily only to come back. What will disengaging from VShojo activities do to improve their situation if it has nothing to do with their problem? If it DOES have something to do with their problem, why are they being permitted to make it so public?

I found Felti through batatatatat and I've been really enjoying her art streams.

Before the alphabet movement, my psychology professor used to teach about a mental illness movement in the 80s when young people would look in the mirror and say “this is not me”. They proceed to commit self harm like penis seppuku or boobies seppuku. Eventually they regret and commit suicide when their “problem” did not get solved by committing body parts seppuku.
"Hiatus from VShojo" instead of....just "Hiatus"?

Why? Did Zen just lowkey ashamed of being associated with VShojo?
He realized that he should be VShonen instead of Vshojo.

He needs to chill. He is causing way too much problems now.
Every day i wonder WHY he is on Vshoujo, thousands of better candidates are out there WHY mowtendo is so hellbent in keeping that lunatic in the company i would have graduated his tranny ass since his meltdown from 1/6, he showed that he doesnt give a shit about his or the company reputation

Only japanese developers require tons and tons of paper to ever consider to play these games, and every time they are asked why they come with tons of outdated excuses about muh sells, is mostly a japanese-japanese thing, you dont see Vshoujo having that issue

I dont know how Phase connect get away with best fox playing KH

I'm a firm believer of the belief that you can't change a vtuber's voice actor without causing a riot and a mass exodus. That being said, changing Zentraya with anyone else would be a net positive. Hell if they replace him with a girl who does a little bit more research than his girlfriend at the time, I doubt anyone would notice and they could actually drop the whole retarded TTS shit.

What did he do on National Insurrection Remembrance Day?
I could not cover it live because the jannies here thread banned me for not using thumbnails but literally screeched on twitter about how awful it was and that he did not care about being corpo he NEEDED to SAY how awful it was IN THE ZENTREYA twitter with THE VSHOJO tag on it

That in another company is graduation, no question asked except if you are Vshoujo, nothing less than a #MeToo moment will be enough to kick him out

So does Nene's roommate have an ulcer or were the pains something else. She did another NSMB stream recently, with bell pepers. It can't be healthy to never eat any form of vegetables.

Plus, the thought of multiple HoloEN members together in a public MMO space at the same time sounds like a disaster in the making. Ina playing PSO2 was enough of a shitshow.
The difference would be that any kind of harassment towards them would result on a guaranteed ban. SE doesn't fuck around when it comes to protect streamers.
There probably would be a lot of annoying following and shit, which would likely result in a ban too depending on how far people go while being socially inept.

Funnily enough, peppers, specially bell peppers, are recommended if you have ulcers, their antioxidants help with the healing process.

Money.
Check Zentreya's numbers. Vshojo being a western company is probably not taking a cut, but working more like a talent agency and using their numbers to bring sponsorships and taking a cut from that. I'm guessing that Zentreya showing how much of a disaster they are in collabs have made it so that maybe they are not giving them any collabs or sponsorships anymore.
