DST only delays his streams an hour in America so outside america it's the same time but if his streams will be an hour later in america, so is he going to stream a different time now? If he is acting weird, it's probably one of these:

1. He realized that SK not tipping anymore will impact his pulls and doordashing.
2. He's angry that a regular went out exclaiming how ridiculous it was for Phil to act like the money he's gotten isn't enough.

it just dawned on me, since he's still going on about how the side stuff is pointless and he's gotten gear he likes.

So he hates Sekiro cause you don't get any builds or different weapons and it removes replay value since Dark Souls you can try different weapons and whatever. Doesn't understand why people would do side missions in FC6 to get different weapons and companions cause he's set with what he's got this play through.

Doesn't know why anyone would do the side content if they don't have to..then there's DSP plays Yakuza 7..

The only hurt Phil feels is in his wallet. He doesn’t give a fuck about SnowKarl or any whale. They are dead to him once they stop paying. If he’s acting weird it’s probably stress because he knows he fucked up his chat’s primary source of entertainment and that’s going to hurt his engagement even more than it already is.

He just articulated this really poorly. Maybe he himself doesn't get why, but Ubisoft side content is notoriously bad. It's not even side content with any reason to exist other than "get bigger weapons when your weapons were already trouncing whatever opposition we threw at you". Normally you'd throw some story in here, or some really good upgrades, or a Michael Jackson clone to keep things interesting, but Ubisoft side content is just "Climb all the watchtowers, slay all the slayable peeps, find the 40 prehistoric thongs of Amun-Ra, you will get upgrades that let you overkill an already very easy game." Far Cry 6 is toddler level. I watched Phil get fucked without lube by some dude with a shotgun, because he ignored up to three of his shots or they didn't register, upon which his character fell down with 0 HP, popped some sort of disco mist device, got up and pwned the dude with the shotgun. These games are just so scared to punish the player with death even if they fuck up repeatedly. Not to mention you have basically infinite regenerating health, can tank enough bullets to give The Hulk pause, and the AI's so retarded an enemy tank will literally pull up to you, let you ride on it's chassis for a while, then drop you off harmlessly before hardlocking onto your AI teammates. This sort of game, clearly balanced around children, is the sort of affair Phil loves the most. Absolute shit content, though. Even worse than Phil dunking on Derichs and Derich bots in CoD. There's just no tension here at all. Phil's in control of a Terminator in a world where everyone has milkshakes for brains. Even he can't fuck this one up.

Ubi side stuff reads like a checklist and obviously it's even below DSP. Most people who play Ubi games skip most of the side content precisely because of this. It's been ass since before AssCreedo was an RPG. Fuck, the Sea Shanties were highly praised for being the only collectible that wasn't completely 100% pointless.

I'm just a little baffled a dude with an incredible, robust, spicy, flavorful AND full of flavour (And maybe even flavour-packed!) 13 year begacy can't make this point or even a joke about it. It's like he hits the reset button on his gin pickled brain after every game he finishes and retains nothing.

I did play this and I agree 100%.

If you want any sort of challenge you have to play with a bunch of rules you make up yourself.

And yeah Ubi side content is bottom tier. Ubisoft publishes AA games with a AAA PR budget.

All the proof anyone needs that Phil's opinions are never genuine. We've all seen him meander about, distracted by inane things to stall out the clock in one game, and then whiz through another one as quick as possible (for him). What he says never means anything, because he always has an ulterior motive that he never admits to, or pays any mind to when he utters something contradictory or illogical.

The only thing Phil impresses me with is his ability to sniff out literally every single opportunity to either become what he once chided someone for being, or chide someone for doing something he has already done, without ever acknowledging it. He catches every chance with perfect precision, I'm almost tempted to call him an artist at it.

Given enough time addiction will almost always manage to exceed whatever income the addict have, and Dave is behaving like his whale pool is infinite when it's not.

Eventually he'll find the ceiling of just how much money he can scam out of the wheelchairs, but his addictions will not be satisfied with that and then the fun really starts.

I may be wrong, but the last time Phil was explicitly begging for hundreds of dollars in tips, and money to cover the cost of games in particular, it was right before the bankruptcy started.
Not only is this probably a strong indicator that his addiction got the better of him last month and he spent more than he could handle, but I think it points to the dangerous entitlement that has been enabled and which Phil has allowed to spiral.

As I mentioned before, the bankruptcy and his financial woes were based on business expenses of $5k monthly, which included the purchasing of games.
Since the PS5 came around, Phil has become autistically fixated on spending nothing on the business. Think about it. Aside from vests and hats, Phil has tried to buy nothing.

He begged for stream improvements he can afford (he has met the criteria he established for affording them and is now lying), including a chair, laptop, and XBox.
He has filled his schedule with less-than-full-price remasters of games he has already played, or ones that he previously skipped and now feigns interest in (MonkeyBall).
He has leaned into any games that do not have a full next-gen price tag.
He became obsessed with gamepass and openly expressed interest in the idea that he could pay one fee to then not have to pay for games.
He recently admitted that he was using credit a fan gave him to make Amazon purchases (for the hats and his headphones), and for games. This strongly indicates that a whale approached him about supporting like this and an arrangement was made for game credits specifically. He is now asking again for credits and tips.
His spending on the business has probably dropped under $700 each month for the last 4 months. And that's me high balling it.

Phil resents that, after the bankruptcy, he should have to spend a fucking cent on his business. Everything should be provided for him to continue.
He seems aware that this mentality is problematic, which is why he is asking for credits - not only does he not want it to eat into the spending money (tips), but Phil knows he cannot convince himself to spend the tip money on the business now, so he needs to lock himself to paying for games with digital credits.

This recent line about Metroid Dread and Guardians and not being able to afford them, and still only maybe playing them after saying he got credits to play them... it all suggests that his spending is so out of control that he can't even force himself to loosely run his business anymore. The credits are him sneakily trying to use his fans to regulate his spending a little.

And rightfully so because he is an idiot (a bold theory, I know). If he wasn't so full of himself and blinded by his pride/ego, he would simply stream his gatcha pulls and let the tips roll in. His paypigs are autistic enough to endure that kind of "entertainment" and he for once could have fun again when streaming for a change. If people like Max0r can make tons of money (read: a few grands) when streaming their pulls for their waifu simulator adventure addiction (or whatever genre Genshin Impact is) or other retards get thrown tip after tip at by special needs people who just watch them opening FiFa booster packs, he could do the same.
