Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I think so.

Also, add this to the list of rumors that may or may not turn out to be accurate.
I'm hoping at least one of these events comes true because that would be glorious.
God I miss Trump

Trump playing the Establishment and Progressive sub-factions like a fiddle.

Pelosi is saying passing BBB bill will be on par with declaring war on the Japanese in World War 2 in historical relevance.
FDR passed his declaration of war 82-0 in the Senate and 388-1 in the House and the war made America into a global superpower, the Democrats can't even get 50% votes for either of their bills. I'm not sure this is really comparable.

Honselty I really hope the 3rd part is true. Just by how funny it sounds.

Wait there were three special elections for house of Representatives that Republicans won. I can't belive I miss that. Damn the dems only having a Two seat majority is a big fall form grace form their 2018 victory. 2022 going to be a easy bloodbath than.
I love waking up and reading about the latest political shitstorm in the mighty USA. It is comedy gold. You have a Demintia patient V a Buffoon. I hope it never ends. At the end of the day no matter who is in power, the only people they give a fuck about are themselves. A small point missed by both sides.

So Pelosi vs AOC is set, will the progressives show some balls or do they roll over? So how is everyone feeling? Will it pass or not?
I can not imagine that it won’t pass, if only because the folks running this show have been in Congress for decades and know how bad it would be if this vote didn’t go their way. I know I’ve said it before but you should never call for a vote unless you already know the outcome, and they damn well know that.

Now, with that said, and as much of a clusterfuck as the Dems are these days, it’s possible that it fails. I’ve been wrong before this week and I’d love to be wrong again.

The vote to consider the rule for BBB or whatever passed. Now they're in recess for a brief moment.

In case you don't know what just happened/what this means: progressives caved at the last moment on their demand to pass BBB/infrastructure at the same time. They made a deal with the Blue Dogs and the Black Caucus to pass the infrastructure bill first and then promised to vote on BBB in late November after the CBO is finished reviewing that bill and gives it a score.
"The whole day was a clusterf---, right? But beyond that, you know … I thought everyone was working in a very congenial way," said Progressive Caucus leader Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI). "I mean, rank-and-file members figured out how to get shit done."
But then all of a sudden some progressives wanted to vote on the rule before voting on the infrastructure bill. So they did that and the rule passed. And now they'll vote on the infrastructure bill after this recess.

This has to mean she has the votes. There is no way they are that incompetent plus they already had the votes to get consideration passed.
I am inclined to agree, but I have to wonder -how-, Manchin hasn't budged last I checked and you have mutually exclusive demands from two sides in the House now, with only a two-seat majority,

Manchin is in the Senate. Is the plan to pass it and just dump it to die there?

It still makes no sense to make desperation moves for some sort of victory now. The time for that was before the most recent election.
