I may've been a bit too heavy, but my lack of optimism is threefold:
1: It shows potential moderates and unsatisfied dems that even if you vote against the blue, the red you vote in may cave anyway making it worthless. This encourages less people to vote red in blue areas in case they're red donkeys.
2: It shows that even in the wake of momentum that Republican officials CAN AND WILL side with the opposition even when they're on the backfoot, showing seasoned red voters that it may not matter, demoralizing them without dem intervention.
3: This is the big one for me because I can fucking see it happening. The dems will primary 'blue dogs' which will lie about being 'more ruthless' than the RINOs while talking about how Republicans can't 'get things done'. RINOs get replaced by loyalist dems due to misplaced trust, these bills are back on the table. If this happens expect some new bills with suspiciously identical price tags to to crop up even if they're shut down.
Again, probably too heavy because we're a year out and I'm making a huge assumption that one or two other bills will be similar. On the other hand the other bills haven't come to pass and at this point I honestly don't know which ones will be shot down because clown world.
