Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

:| 1.3 trillion dollars :|

:heart-empty:
I've said it before but it's a drop in the pond. I'm mostly pissed because now my finances are shaky thanks to the bit regulating crypto. This bill also has nothing to do with infrastructure and is just settling those debts the Democrats need to pay off.

That's exactly what pisses me off to the moon and back at those cocksucking RINOs.
I can't even be mad at the dems; they're doing exactly what they're supposed to and save their asses.

1.3 trillion and the federal road 2 miles up will still be gravelly and pot-hole ridden in 2024.
I will outlive Kinzinger out of spite just to piss on that faggot's grave.

Around where I live the roads are so bad my elderly relatives can no longer drive/want to drive for fear of crashing. Everything in the Midwest is falling apart and the only thing these fuckers are doing is paying their donors. It makes me fucking sick.

I told the county I'm not paying my property taxes till they get their asses out here and fix the fucking road and sidewalk out front of my house.

There's a pothole 2 feet deep and 6 feet across that literally looks like an artillery crater.

Report back if they send agents of the State of to kidnap you.

1.3 trillion dollars is not a drop in the pond it's over 1/30th of our national debt. If you're affecting apathy because you feel debt in fiat is ultimately meaningless I understand, but if their intentions are to keep this sinking currency afloat the last thing they should be doing right now is print even more dollars.

A Frisky Dingo reference?
It's indeed a weird night.
you call it Frisky Dingo? I like to call it Lost Wages
Wait, wait wait. Holy fuck, this is for the 1.2 trillion dollar core infrastructure deal, not the massive one. Senate passed it in summer. It's the most stripped-down form of their bill that got the Senate RiNOs aboard to kick the can down the road.

Fuck, why are they having such problems voting for this!?
and whats in this dogshit?

idk if anyone here has caught up on the latest cancer oozing from twatter, but lmao looks like the Horde has officially decided to run with Biden being "Brandon" now.
Let's see how it works for em

edit - jesus christ LOL "MSM bias against democrats" is Maddow drinking excessively before she huffs her own gas?

Catching up, I know this is a bit old but- do these mental midgets not realize that calling him "brandon" and trying to spin that as some sort of positive message is batshit insane when the phrase came right out of a lying journalist's mouth? Like, the "let's go brandon" shit that journalist tried was actual "don't believe your lying eyes/ears" level bullshit.

Wait, doesn't the bill still need to go to Congress (where we expect it to fail)? Or are we just pissed because the GOP are dipshits that don't know how to not fuck up?

There are three infrastructure bills. The first one was really shit and couldn't get passed so it was trimmed down into this which still isn't great but at least it's not going to completely fuck the country. That crazy shit will be in the other bill they're voting on next week/the week after.

Nothing that really... -does- anything.
We're talking about 1.2 trillion dollars. Please stop with the "it doesn't do anything" shit.

That's, at time of writing, 1/29 of our entire debt as a nation.
EDIT: Finally caught up with the thread, and I have to say that this doesn't bode well at all. The guys who voted for this are probably going to save the day again on the other bills the D's want passed if the progs don't step up to the plate.

And I don't want to hear some copium-riddled bullshit about how this bill was different. After a certain amount, large increases don't really matter. If they were willing to vote on a $1.2T bill they'll be willing to vote on a $2.5T, $3.5T, etc bill.

The other bills still need to pass the Senate I believe. It will be harder to do so there with Manchin and the other dissenting Democrats there holding the line, but the vote can't be filibustered.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this though.

Ever wonder how people manage to lose all their money through gambling?

You're not but like I already said there's no reason to expect at least ten of the faggot RINOs who voted for this to not do it again. It can't be overstated that after a certain scale, larger amounts of shit like this aren't seen as awful as they should be. What's another 2.5 trillion? 3.5? 5.5?

It's like that old phrase "one is a tragedy, a million is a statistic". Ten people getting killed by a spree killer is horrifying, sixty million dying under communism is just unfathomable to the point that the horror can't even set in. And all of this is before the fact that there were parts of the bill that will noticeably fuck people over like the crypto crap that they shoved in it. Just a disaster, really.

So considering how we're in year 1 of Biden's America, and how much these bills are totaled, how high do you guys think the national debt would climb by the end of 4 years? If all of their proposals passed of course- not because I think they will, but so we can see how much the democrats think is acceptable. I'm betting we'll reach for the stars and the 50 trillion mark.

Ultimately any rep that voted for this should be primaried. There was 0 reason to vote for this after Virginia. It only helped Dems on the national stage. Whether it's paying off debts, or optically, or just on the basic level of giving the press something to talk about that wasn't a floundering loss. This is exactly why Republicans suck.

A very interesting take, don't you think

I think people are just realizing how shitty "Normal" was.

"I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again: Spanish-language misinformation campaigns are absolutely exploding on social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. It’s putting US English misinfo campaigns to shame. & they aren’t getting disclaimers the way English posts do."

"We also have to make sure that outreach includes multilingual pushback on misinformation. WeChat was full of Chinese-language memes with racist lies about Eric Adams, and this poster was all over Chinatown. Do most Dem staffers even know what WeChat is, let alone how to use it?"

^numerical data of asian and hispanic shifts

Dems are panicking over the pro-GOP shifts among Asians and Hispanics, blaming insufficient censorship in foreign languages
Didn't think about learning another language to get around censorship.
Biden’s “assurances” don’t mean shit to these people. He hasn’t delivered on anything for them since he got into office. Just the thought of the President on the phone begging Congressmen and getting told “No” while Pelosi runs around the halls of Congress, begging for votes from her own Party and getting rejected fills me with laughter.
Supposedly when he called Manchin on the American Rescue bill all Biden could say was "You're ruining my bill." There wasn't any kind of negotiation, just yelling that one thing over and over again.
Looks like it was only the Squad that voted against it. The actual progressive caucus is about a hundred strong. "Split" doesn't even seem like the right word to describe it, more like "left their 'leaders' out to dry".
The progressive caucus is full of "Progressives in name only." The Squad is just the branded heroes. Like "The Boys".
The Senate passed this already. Apparently it was supposed to have been passed some time ago.
I think that is one of the points everyone is forgetting. This bill was very overdue. I think they wanted this passed in September. Pelosi had to spend 2 months tard wrangling progressives because she had no margin for error. She is retiring so no one will be able to do this next year (or whenever.)

And people seem to have forgotten that the Build Back Better bill has to pass the senate so it is a different group of people there. The RINO'S that passed this won't be voting next time. Also McConnell already passed this bill in the Senate.

And it still has to go through reconciliation.
