I'm really confused by the physics of this. The Guntmobile came to a rest near this traffic light pole. Note the similar marking. https://goo.gl/maps/ihusjFRYhs5YXeLaA EDIT: I think this is also the pole Ralph has right behind him in the flipped selfie.

Note it is to the right as seen from the traffic heading south on McCormick/St Joseph's. If Ralph was heading westbound on Landover, he would have had to turn right to hit that pole. But if his car was hit from the right, isn't it more likely that he would have swerved and/or been pushed to the left?

Maybe he was trying to make a right turn to go northbound on McCormick, but he overshot the turn and went into the southbound lane instead, tried to turn left to get out of that lane, and then was struck on the right by southbound traffic? It's crazy but it's the only scenario I can see so far to explain how this happened. EDIT: No, that doesn't make sense either, because going northbound on McCormick has its own turn lane/exit thing…

is that the exact spot it was hit or could the photo have been taken after they moved the car? there’s little pieces around the car but maybe it was moved to make room for traffic and not block off the road. idk though i can’t drive

I don't think it makes sense that they moved the car such that it blocks the inner lane of a multi-lane road when they could have moved it to one of the outer lanes or out of the intersection entirely.

Responders are rarely the ones to move vehicles at the scene of a crash. Ralph was most likely the one who moved the vehicle.

That's what "out of the way of traffic" looked like in his mind.

Lol, so if it’s a 2020 he still owed on it so had to have full comp insurance on it. Doesn’t matter what they replace it with, Ralph will never be able to afford the insurance premium on another car. The insurance will be more per month than than a new car payment.
