You'd think that, but realize that the rank and file of the movement aren't aiming to reduce everyones quality of life - They genuinely believe that they can just have everyone owning a Tesla or equivalent just by mandating it and everything will work out. And the elites don't actually have a vested interest in less vehicles, or even much to do with the environment - They have the wealth to be insulated from it, and actively lose from reduced consumerism.

The problem is at the very same time the cities are also trying to get rid of cars entirely. More and more cities are reducing requirements for off-street parking for houses and apartments so they can get more density. Obviously if you don't build parking then no one will need a car, that's how it works, right?

When will you learn that any given individual on the other side has the default state of "I don't care" when it comes to scandals. It's why an individual politician's scandals are in my opinion useless to talk about. They do not convince anyone on the opposite side and very rarely convince anyone in the middle. It's very easy for someone to dismiss what they are already mentally conditioned to disagree with. The only use such a scandal has is hyping up your own base for an inevitable nothingburger. Hillary will not go to jail, neither will Hunter, and Biden certainly isn't going to jail for showering with his daughter. And, on the opposite side of things; George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Trump ain't going to jail either.

The only difference between this and the normal pork-barrel stuff is the sheer damn -size- of it as a single package. Frankly, I think the RINOs, and most of congress, have stopped understanding that numbers have a meaning and its all funny money to them. So on that front, you are right in that it's a foot in the door.

But that's just the thing.... ignoring the absolute funny money price, there is no other difference. It's stock standard and bare-bones in that it has nothing else but every type of ordinary pork all at once. Mind, it's fucking great to contextualize how much pork is actually standard. It's just normally you'd see all of this spread out across a President's entire term.

It's all four years of pork at once. But nothing else.

So the other Infrastructure bills are different in that they aren't... well, this. They have actual things in them, they have things to go against or take issue with from the RINO side because they'll be things that try to take power from them. RINOs are in it for themselves, and they... just got theirs.
