As of this article from yesterday Steve Sweeney (NJ dem) is refusing to concede to Donut Dad.

You just know deep down, the only reason he hasn't conceded the election days after every desk called the election and newspapers ran a bunch of stories about his opponent's win, is because he is fucking INDIGNENT that a hick, a prole, a common man beat him without needing any connections. In a district that was guaranteed to be his, right? It's fucking New Jersey! He must be fuming that a plebeian overcame the fortifications without needing to spend any money.

No article that I know of from any big media outlet has even mentioned that the result is in dispute, and as far as I know the hypothetical 12,000 ballots have still not been counted or included in the results. Electoral fortification as we have seen it needs to be accompanied by at least some media coverage, so they can set the narrative before or as it's happening. But there's none of that. What this is, it seems to me, is a seasoned swamp politician absolutely seething because he lost.

This tends to be a take I go with as one of the resident lolbertarians that chill out here. I wasn't a huge fan of Trump but the abject upheaval he caused was interesting and startling. Any wannabe populist has to hand it to Trump because he's absolutely not more of the same out of career politicians that so many claim to be sick of.

A few folks who haunt these threads worship at the altar of one party or another and then claim that anyone outside of their bubble is a RINO or a progressive grifter, when in reality there's nothing sacred about the institutions of the Republican and Democrat parties.
