Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

See, you almost had it at the first part, but then you had to qualify it with the second part. I will give you credit, though, because at least you said as much as you did which is more than most folks on here would've said.

It's also amazing how so many of you "hate all politicians", but then seem to defend Republicans at every turn. If you hate Democrats, that's fine, but don't fucking say "I hate all politicians" if you only hate half of them.

I hate all politicians but am more likely to vote Republican as long as they are not populist dipshit Trumpers.

Okay, I lied, my last post for the night is this one.

Diary pages aside, as if those are confirmed and he diddled Ashley (and it's not made up or something similar), that'd be #1 bad thing by a mile. I'd say he should've had a way better plan for withdrawal from Afghanistan. It was gonna fall no matter what, but it was a giant clusterfuck and should've been done way better.

Don't worry, it's merely indicative of a skewed perspective on the merits of politicians due to your career being dependent on their existence. I'm sure it doesn't have any major impact on your objectivity vis a vis political issues, though.

I mean, I acknowledge politicians are scumfuck. I ain't ever gonna say they are good people.

I just like them because I understand them, and generally know how to work with em. The necessary evil has long since stopped being bothersome to me.

Would you believe that its largely because of when I am on? I flit between the farms and actually writing up analysis. So going from a world of hard facts to a world of amused apathy can be a little jarring at times. Slow to make my mind shift the gears.

I've been working with them for twenty-fucking-years. At some point, I just came to instinctually understand politicians as a general class, and lost my hostility towards them entirely. I am not sure I could accurately put into words how I understand them.

yeah, like, on-and-off I've worked with televangelist types over the years for media shit, and they're kinda their own thing
when you fuck up you'll get guys who are true believers and like "nah it's cool, it's the Good News anyway" and others who are "WTF YOU FUCKED UP THE GOOD NEWS", then the guys hustling a buck who are "nah it's cool, we got their money anyway" and others who are "WTF YOU FUCKED UP THE GETTING THEIR MONEY"
