Having nostalgia for the prequels to dunk on the sequels is stupid.

I can't speak for others but for me its not nostalgia. I picked up Star Wars a few years ago and watched through most of it in a rather short time span so I'm not trashing it just to be a contrarian.

Some of the stuff Disney put out I feel is passable, I liked Rogue One for the most part and I like what I've seen of The Mandalorian so far. Star Wars: Rebels felt like a downgrade from Clone Wars animated series but it certainly had its moments that made it worth watching

But The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi were hot garbage in my opinion. The writing feels like it falls flat hard. Ahsoka Tano gets more character development in a 20 minute episode of clone wars than Rey gets over the course of 2 feature length movies.

I didn't bother watching Solo as I heard it wasn't very good and The Rise of Skywalker sounds like a 12 year old fan fiction so I skipped that as well
 
It's perfectly fine to dislike your parents and to "abandon" them in their old age. Children aren't a retirement plan and having adult children in your life is what you get for being a good parent, not just for keeping the kid from dying for 18 years.

Real talk. R-selected, low IQ, trend-following tard behaviour. Poor self-control, recklessness, and an incredible waste of resources characterise your average 'ink' lover. And 99.9% of tattoos look like utter shit, and give people a white trash, scumbag appearance. The triggering this gives people with tats is all you need to know when gauging its veracity.

If I were ever in that situation, I'd probably belt sand the tattoo off. How successful that would be would be determined by size, location, if you have the stones to follow through with the procedure, etc.

That penile 'Hot Rod' tattoo might have to stay.

People bitch(ed) way too much about the motion controls in games. I understand why it's not ideal and how it can be wonky at times, but people take/took it way too far where they make it sound like games were unplayable unless you used a gamecube or pro controller.
Also anyone that plays any game franchise or series is guilty of bitching about how the new game sucks and the old one was better. Especially nintendo/sonic fanboys.

If you handed me a delicious plate of ice cream and then peed on it, it hardly matters if the pee only touched a corner of it. I still wouldn't want to eat it.

As for actual mildly unpopular opinions, I don't think the "convenience" of a streaming service offsets the horrible bitrate and compression. I have a 1 gbit fiber internet and a 4K netflix plan (that I don't pay for, obviously) so I know it's streaming "in full quality", but I'd still rather go through the "cumbersome" process of torrenting whatever movie I wanna watch. Typing the name into the torrent tracker search field and waiting 1 minute isn't really that much more difficult than typing it into the Netflix search field.

I really don't like motion controls in any game. Gyro controls with a controller work well though. I'm glad they re-released skyward sword with regular controls, even though they were a bit wonky. I enjoyed it a lot.
