8 People Dead and others hospitalized at Travis Scotts Astroworld festival

Talked to a friend about this last night. I told him Travis got incitement charges before in Arkansas when he said Travis technically didn’t do anything wrong.
His response was“Well it’s not like it was the capitol riot”
Leftoids brains are truly fried. Like I don’t think I ever made any comparisons or equivalencies in my own head up to that point and that’s immediately what he jumped to.

I want to know what kind of fucking exceptional white parents would send their 14 year old child to a Travis Scott concert. The reason Gen Z is so exceptional is because the parents let their kids listen to this “music.” Idk how someone calls it rap, it’s literally nigger music. This kid’s mom ruined the laughs I was getting from this article from the 2nd pic. Like what the actual fuck is that creatura. That’s early 20’s…

I remember passing by the University's main event center after a Rob Zombie concert got out of control, and watching parents in minivans trying to break through the SWAT cordon and climb over the State Troopers to rescue little Timmy and Jimmy, who they'd dropped off to see "their favorite musician" and thought nothing of it.... it's nothing new.

His response was“Well it’s not like it was the capitol riot”
Yeah, the riot killed fewer people.

Knowing Houston and how the populace is, alot want justice.

Realistically, would anything happen? Probably not.

Hes rich, a slap on the wrist is probably all he'll get. But im also a jaded asshole, so who knows.
My guess is a ton of civil suits against Travis and the event organizers that get settled out of court at a minimum. The hope is the city of Houston dives on this and Travis gets incitement charges and Texas won’t be as nice about them as Arkansas was.

Fingers crossed then

Maybe for once my city actually fucking does something good instead of having a finger up their ass

Yeah I’ve lived in and around Houston most my life. If it’s any consolation either the head of the HPD needs to get into acting or he was legitimately pissed off about this from what I could tell from the press conference they had yesterday.

Lazy parents (especially white ones) are why this country is going to hell. The complacency, lack of attention paid to what their kids are into, lack of interest in spending time with their kids and wanting to help direct where they end up as an adult. Gen X, millennials, Gen Z are completely lost and have no idea how to make decisions or critically think and have no idea how to be an adult. Basic common sense tells you not to send your child to a chimp out, especially after you see security get overwhelmed earlier in the day. I hope there’s some accountability for the organizers and promoters for allowing this to happen. And what happened to Covid? All those people that close is a guaranteed super spreader event, or does corona chan spare people based on the amount of melanin they have?

Looking at more videos of this shitshow

It's still my old security company working it, seeing my old friends and co-workers panicking as these animals storm the gates is just..fucking heartbreaking man.

I remember hearing stories about shit like this in some metal concerts a friend of mine went to back in high school. Kinda makes me wonder about how frequently shit like this happens at big concerts without making actual news headlines. The mosh pit zone is like the PRIME place shit like this happens in you do not want to be caught in that crowd tide.
Moshpits nowadays look worse than they actually are tbh, it's not uncommon for people moshing to clear an area and help if someone looses their footing or falls over. It's something bands are surprisingly conscious of.

Gen Z is exceptional because they're all still teenagers and are blasted with propaganda 24/7

From what I've read, he claims he was pricked and immediately passed out. There are no drugs that do this: even a fatal dose of fentanyl needs to circulate through the body before you lose consciousness. The fact that they administered narcan before he regained consciousness doesn't mean much.

I think what probably happened is that he got crushed along with other people, passed out due to oxygen deprivation, then came to after they pulled him out of there.
Security is usually behind the barricade so I doubt he'd be part of the crush. I think it's more likely the dipshit was dumb enough to take a fentanyl laced bootleg pill on the job and is trying to cover his ass.

People often say in response, "well ACDC and The Who were degenerates too!" And maybe that's true. I tend to think their music at least has some level of aesthetic value, compared to this shite. But still, I think that this modern music has crossed beyond mere "transgression" into something just completely devoid of any value to civilization. It's not rebellious or revolutionary. It's not the kind of social transgression that liberates your mind and your soul, like the best of rock music, or even rave music. This modern cultural product of Cardi B and Travis Scott is just worthless, grey colored, soulless, borderline demonic nihilism that promotes the absolute worst variety of mindless materialistic ignorance and barbarism. It's not "cool" - at least I don't think so. It's completely alienating and colorless and makes the world a more dreary place to live in.
"Worthless, grey colored, soulless...", I'm tempted to nickname it "NPC music".
I hope they get criminally charged, this is like Alec Baldwin levels of negligence.
Me too but I'm afraid they're already on work to find some loopholes.

This kid is 14 and the friends he went with were like 14-15. Most of Gen Z doesn’t drive, the parents could’ve stopped this. I really do feel bad for them, you drop off your kid at this festival not knowing they wouldn’t be coming back. At the same time though: you got to remember the kind of place you’re dropping them off at. Would you drop your kid off in ghetto? If not, why would you drop them off in a place that is full of ghetto people?

Also consider: all those people jumping the fence and pushing through security were never searched so they could’ve had drugs, guns, pepper spray and other chemical agents that could cause panic. When people busted through security, they should’ve shut that shit down and made every single person who went through have to re-enter. If you don’t crack down on that behavior and start making arrests or kicking people out, you end up with exactly what happened.

There is something seriously wrong with someone that sings 'dead, dead', while directly looking at an apparently lifeless teenage boy being carried out of the crowd.

As far as I can see so far, there aren't any of his songs that start or end in that way, so the excuse 'it's part of his act' doesn't ring true, please correct me if I am incorrect.
Is there video of this and I'm just missing it ITT? Or are you mistaking his "yeah" noises for "dead" ?

They’re doing exactly the same shit as the producers of “Rust,” coming up with insane stories to deflect from their responsibility. The elite in the entertainment industry and promoters need to start being held criminally responsible for this. If we are not holding anyone in the crowd accountable for this, then it means we hold the organizers, promoters, and others who stood to profit from this event had it been held safely and successfully responsible.

I'm certain someone tried, but the folk in charge are greedy fucks and don't care about the security and their safety or the safety of the fans.

Multiple times they were told to stop the concert and they brushed it all off

Went to see The Hooters and Stevie Nicks at Cal Expo years ago.
It was general seating (standing), and when Stevie came onstage the crowd surged to the front, and I got carried away like a leaf in a stream.
One of the scariest things that's ever happened to me.
Concert wasn't even that great, Stevie was lip-synching, and the tape kept skipping. Hilarious to see her giving the look of death to someone in the wings.

I’m extremely free market and libertarian/conservative in my politics, but after seeing the Alec Baldwin murder and now this it’s making me think that we perhaps need to reconsider how we hold people accountable for these types of things happening. Clearly civil liability is not enough, and companies will just declare bankruptcy. You can get away with just being incompetent and putting your head in the sand while people are literally dying right now. You can even pay doctors to sell drugs you know will kill hundreds of thousands of people and you still don’t get jail time.

Until we get back to a society where people have a sense of morality and hold themselves accountable, we need to perhaps rethink criminal liability for companies. Because of mens rea(criminal intent) it gives an incentive for those in charge to not know and for everyone else in the chain to not know so no one is held responsible. This leads to even worse outcomes as no one knows what is really going on and companies cut corners and kill people for profits.

I actually only heard about this because of his Twitter post, which is trending right now.

Under his Twitter apology post there are multiple videos, ranging from the girl who first climbed up to tell them to stop the show because people were dying, to someone being crushed under a bunch of other people, screaming for help, while you see someone else attempting to call 911.

The whole thing is disgusting, and the disingenuous apology is laughable, as is the video he posted and seemingly deleted, where he's apologizing, but seems like he's just rolled out of bed and is forcing himself to act sad (and the acting is terrible).

I'm not able to screen record right now, but as I said, the Twitter thread is full of footage (NSFL though), at least until he deletes it, or censors it.
