It has been a while since I saw it, but I don't think that was the point either. What she was trying to prove was that Liliana was encouraging a relationship between a known minor (InkRose) with another adult (Josh), which was easy to see because of Liliana explicitely saying that they would do a cute couple, insisting that she "ships it" and other comments that other members on the fandom apparently supported.

Correct me if wrong, but I think at some point either Josh or InkRose admitted that they did had one date but that was it. The main issue was that Liliana was pushing them together and she dismissed people trying to remind her about InkRose's age.

If Lily really wanted some sort of touching 'I'll meet you there moment' you don't need Rey to kill herself. There's documented cases of elderly couples who've been together for decades where once one spouse dies the other dies a few days to a week later for seemingly no other reason than a broken heart.
