Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

It's a combination of incompetence, infrastructure/urban design and general social decay across the country. You're absolutely correct regarding the fact that most Americans live in a low-trust socioeconomic situation. Whatever sense of community that used to exist has been obliterated for all sorts of reasons.
I mean the Civil Rights era was the destruction of the right of free association due to court cases in which Judges basically subverted the will of the people. It's a weird thing how most of the Civil Rights era victories were due lawsuits rather than referendums. Didn't Roosevelt put in a lot of Progressive judges? I'm going on a bit of a dive into the Civil Rights Era and I can respect a lot of Black Religious leaders for being honestly clever people who were fighting for their rights a lot of their victories ring hollow when tracking down the fact that a lot of the opposition weren't just screaming nigger and had some honest complaints about how they were going for these rights and liberties. Judicial activism really is dangerous.

Last year my city tried out doing free bus rides for everyone, but was also requiring lower capacity to help with social distancing. The result was that a lot of people couldn't ride the bus to get to work because the buses kept getting filled up by homeless.
For a few years in Seattle you could ride the bus for free within downtown. You'd get on without paying, and if you rode it outside of the downtown free zone, you then had to go up front to pay when you got off. Eventually they got rid of that, with the official reason being that the process of going up front to pay was confusing to passengers, and it caused delays by slowing down the loading process. But everyone knew the real reason: the buses just became homeless shelters on wheels. Now they just have a free downtown circulator bus, which I can only imagine is no better.

the blacks have actually gotten mroe savage since the 1960's.
Well they have been victim of the destruction of the family unit for longer then the other races.

Latino's are somewhat resilient to the prog's agenda of breaking down the family but the jogger's...lets take a look at the stats shall we.

Single Parent Homes by race (2019)

Black - 65%
Native America - 52%
Latino - 42%
White - 22%

Well, that's a big indicator of a culture issue isn't it. The correlation between these groups and poverty levels are also worth a look. But hey, rather then tackle the issues with certain cultural norms of certain subsets of the US population...lets talk about racism instead! Everything can be blamed on those damn dirty whiteys after all so no need to talk about the complete breakdown of family units in certain populations just blame whitey for the spike in crime, deaths and incarcerations.

Black America's problems will never be solved until we as a nation can openly discuss the actual issues going on within these communities without scapegoating to racism. Black shooting blacks? Racism. Latino gang wars? Racism. Prision popultions exploding? Yah you guessed it Racism!

Until the day comes when these topics can be discussed in a frank and open manner things will only get worse. And that day is getting farther off every time more shit hits the fan.

What about dangerous demagogues like AOC, or the modern day aristos like Warren or Pelosi who radiate let them eat cake energy? how could you possibly love that if you don't agree with them?
I don't agree with half of what my current employer wants, I still do it. I can respect a person for their craft, love the nature of what lets them do it, but still not like them on a personal level. Hell, I personally have a great distaste for Trump, but I respect and admire him for how he interacts with politics.

In the end, I will never pretend to be some moral entity. I'd be lying. I am a pragmatic opportunist to some degree and would work for whoever wants me in the end.

Which is which? Because the farms tend to slide between hard facts and amused apathy with startling ease at times.
Amused apathy mostly, but the hard facts occasionally here are why I visit it on work hours. Helps keep me in the right mindset for work. Sadly, it also means I cannot turn it off during work.

What abysmal numbers. I don't think i've seen worse yet.
I do enjoy seeing hard numbers come out that help prove I do work where I say I do. Been saying this was the differential on Biden and Harris' approval for quite some time.

This would be the main problem with the bill, Gehenna. That would in fact be the stand-out difference.
I think I now know what I am seeing that I think you are not. What this is, is the normal amounts of Pork meant to be spread out over 4 years, put into 1 bill. Which... really is sobering to see the quad-yearly pricetag.

So why is this distinction more important than the sheer size of it? Well, put simply it's the RINOs deciding to make sure they can get everything they want so they can fuck off to moderate ville and not help anything else unless they get paid specifically. The numbers are funny money, but because it's all stuff they'd be expecting... it doesn't really incentivize them to vote for any bigger bills.

It is, in essence, the RINOs securing their own funds at the expense of the nation, but it is funds they were promised well in advance. They got theirs, so why risk their necks for more?

Consider this element of RINO psychology. When was the last time you saw a RINO stick his neck out for anything? Does the word "Courage" or "Reckless" come to mind when you think of RINOs? No, no it does not. They take only the safest bets, then pretend to be proper Republicans anytime there's an actual risk.

This bill was 'safe'. There is nothing to pin their balls to inside the bill, nothing that can be pointed to and the base really riled up over. This means that with Gingrich generally not loved in the party he will have a hard time finding primary contenders... assuming he even actually tries. Trump is already going to be waging war on too many fronts as is, and won't be able to really spare much more than token support for any contenders against them without said ammo.

The bill was 'safe'. secure, got them money, and let them maintain their image.

Any other bills the Democrats want won't be safe. They will have things that can be pointed to, things that can be used as ammo by either Gingrich or Trump. So, despite the price tag, this infrastructure bill does not portend future bills. Because it's so god damned beige.

BTW: The fact it can't be used to fuck them pisses me off like you would not believe.

How unusual is this?
Very, Governors are Executive branch just like the Presidency is. Those within the same branch and same party avoid publically opposing eachother normally to maintain the illusion of a unified front.

Mostly false

public transport lets the nogs ride right up to your house. that's why many suburbs actively fight train and bus line expansions. shaqueesha's love to put their kids on public transit for babysitting.
During early COVID when all buses in my area stopped it was amazing how tranquil the local grocery stores got. Suddenly, they were all white and middle class, and stayed that way for several months. The lack of twisted-looking blacks and obese whites was pretty nifty. Not that they ever bothered anyone, it had a nice beautifying effect.

thank you brandon.png
"We are not triggered!"

Slightly off topic, but I've been unable to find the Hunter Biden photo of him with that minor in lingerie anywhere. It's been almost completely scrubbed off the internet. The best I could find was this blurry screencap.

There's no way that's him. And holy fuck that's disgusting. I want to kick the shit out of you just for posting it and if I have my way I will see you banned from the internet forever.

The first image is definitely him, there's video proof. The second one is... more up in the air. Never been solidly proven, never been disproven, but I am inclined to think it's -not- him. Still, first one is -fucked- too.

Okay, name something admirable about Warren or AOC as politicians? Pelosi may be absolute trash, but I can at least admit she has the ability to herd cats and tarwrangle the house dems.

There's no doubt that the breakdown of morals among the black community in conjunction with the breakdown of the traditional black family played a big role in the extreme Niggerfication plaguing our nation to date, but....

During early COVID when all buses in my area stopped it was amazing how tranquil the local grocery stores got. Suddenly, they were all white and middle class, and stayed that way for several months. Segregation worked. And so did lynching. Keeping blacks afraid and away from decent folk made life far more bearable for the average American back then. Suburbia as we currently know it is America attempting to replicate that solution and the peace it brought on an ad-hoc basis.

Warren is, if nothing else, dedicated to the grift. A skilled opportunist her career is one example after another of being good at spotting openings and seizing them.

AOC is an excellent firebrand, able to rile her voting base to an amazing degree that makes it impossible to assault her directly, forcing the Establishment to have to get her through redistricting. A tactic they usually save for Republicans.

Being an amoral wine aunt so dedicated to fleecing gullible retards that she's doubled down on her grift isn't a positive. I hate to say this, but people like FDR and Truman at least had some convictions and weren't just interested in power for the sake of the gibs.

And how much has she actually achieved? she's the political equivalent of an obnoxious toddler, loudly screaming when she doesn't get her way, defecating everywhere, and easy to shut up when her superiors give her something shiny.

You asked me to say something admirable, I did. I never said it's something necessarily virtuous. They each found their own way to play the political game, gain power and money through it, and become solid fixtures within it. The drive and technique they used is to be admired for the skill necessary to perform it, even if it is to be morally condemned.

I originally discounted these images as dubious, I did not realize there was video proof of the first one. What is the story behind this? Is she underage?

-Yes-, the first is definitely leaked off Hunter's laptop and is among a series of pictures and video of him having a lot of fun in... I think it was Dubai, but don't quote me on that. Nothing -entirely- explicit, I guess Hunter has some brains, but enough that if there were even a smidge more evidence or someone could find the kid in it he'd be locked up.... well, if he weren't Biden's son that is.

Is Christmas earlier in hackerland
I wince every time there's news about some government branch getting hacked because they are supposed to know better.

What's worse is that you know that no one is going to get fired over this and it'll be business as usual when this goes away.

  • The Democratic governor of Kansas issued a statement opposing President Joe Biden's vaccine mandate for businesses.
  • Gov. Laura Kelly joined Republicans in opposition of the mandate, saying it's "too late to impose a federal standard" after states have "been leading the fight against COVID-19."
  • Biden's vaccine mandate requires businesses with over 100 employees to make employees get vaccinated or be tested weekly.
Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, a Democrat, joined Republicans on Friday in opposing President Joe Biden's vaccine mandate for businesses. Kelly issued a statement applauding Biden's intentions but signaling Kansas will go in a different direction. "While I appreciate the intention to keep people safe, a goal I share, I don't believe this directive is the correct, or most effective, solution for Kansas," Kelly said in a Friday statement on Twitter. "States have been leading the fight against COVID-19 from the start of the pandemic. It is too late to impost a federal standard now that we have already developed systems and strategies that are tailored for our specific needs," Kelly continued. "I will seek a resolution that continues to recognize the uniqueness of our state and builds on our on-going efforts to combat a once-in-a-century crisis," she wrote.

Biden's mandate was officially rolled out on Thursday and is set to take effect on January 4. Kansas is one of several states suing to challenge the mandate in court. As Insider's Kevin Shalvey reported, the states opposing the mandate argue the federal government doesn't have the constitutional authority to make such a mandate and argue the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) lacks the authority to enforce it. As Insider previously reported, a US federal appeals court in Louisiana on Saturday temporarily halted President Joe Biden's mandate. The US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled there were potentially "grave statutory and constitutional" issues at play with Biden's mandate, which requires businesses with more than 100 employees to require employees to get vaccinated for COVID-19 or undergo weekly testing for it. White House Chief of Staff Ronald Klain on Sunday said he was "confident" the mandate would ultimately be upheld. About 47.8% of Kansans over age 12 are fully vaccinated, according to state data, placing it below the national average of 58.3%, per CDC data.

BIG. BUTT-FUCKING. YIKES. When the people in YOUR OWN PARTY are calling you out on your shit, you KNOW you done fucked up.
Not surprisely. She probably sees what what happen in Virginia and is looking at her state which is blood red!. And going " I'm endanger"
Considering Mark Takano is a gay Asian man who's district is D+12, that's pretty funny. Of course though it is sadly a typo because we don't live in the good clownworld
It's funny. It would definitely be ironic if McCarthy was able to sway two democrats to republican. Just so dems basically lose the house before midterms. I know Rinos but still would be funny.
Well that would be ground breaking if over 90 percent of rural white people went straight red in reference to the post by @Oxous and quite an achievement by the GOP.

Plus a lot of middle to upper middle class non whites hate rural whites and see them as racist klansmen loons as a bonus so the Democrats are fucked for a long time. A lot of them don't venture outside the cities either.
Honsetly dems really fuck up not trying to get rural families votes anymore.

Thank you, I was looking for a good term for that bill, and beige is just about the best I've heard so far.
I have no clue why it was delayed so long from when the Senate passed it. It's very clearly meant to be the thing they passed before passing everything else they wanted (and I do mean everything else, the BBB agenda, all the social spending, and election fortification). A bipartisan push, paying off the RINOs a bit to stay friendly, a bit of good publicity going into a harder fight, and just enough goodies for the voters that they would have kicked in right when most useful before the midterms.

The beige nature is because it was meant to be harmless and friendly, to lower everyone's guard.

Instead its... way too late, and somehow got deeply contested despite being beige.

I figure they wanted to ride the high of keeping Va. That the win there (and in NJ) would serve as a sign that the Dem agenda was still valid. Get the win, pass the bill, then snowball towards the others.
