What's funny is how he claims to leave the music on for the experience. He says the licensed music is chosen for a reason and it's pivotal to the scene but then he'll pause to pigsplain something, rant, or he'll continue to play and burp or goat laugh which kills any immersion.

There’s a scene where the best outcome in terms of gathering the most credits for the Guardians is having Groot being sold to Lady Hellbender and let Drax lead the negotiations, despite knowing that the latter would’ve likely fumbled it on most occasions. But as the game itself says, this time he was surprisingly effective.

Phil chose all the right dialogue choices without even considering or looking at the other options.

The funny shit is that roach claims that he keeps the music for experience, but funnily enough pausing the copyrighted music he's currently playing to rant or not, he'll just keep the track goes on when he's still playing games, speaking or laughing disgustingly.
Whenever Phil turned off the track and demand money for only keeping the music playing, that was a really fucktarded move from pigroach himself just for a really simple thing.

Games can 100% use music for very good effect, so when piggy says that he not wrong. Buuuut that is NOT why he does it, as others have said this whole licensed music mini arc is all about how it is a vehicle for him to beg harder.

What Phil doesn't understand to this date is that fair use doesn't work the way he thinks it works. When you buy a game you are not buying the game and it's content is not yours to use for whatever use. You are buying a license agreement stating that you have the right to PLAY the game but nothing about streaming it nor anything about monetizing the game. If game companies want to they could take down everyone's videos of them playing a game if they want. They don't because it is free advertisement and doesn't harm the companies in any way. Of course Phil wants to say he adds commentary so it's fair use but adding snorts and goat laughs doesn't really count.

But Phil isn't being claimed for gameplay but for the music. Again what Phil doesn't understand is that licensed music is leased to the game company so they can use it in their game. However, under the pretext that the gamers won't be streaming it or making money from it but just playing the game. These songs are ONLY licensed to the game company and no one else. All because you buy a game doesn't mean their contract with the music company transfers to the player. So the music companies have the right to claim any content using their music without their permission. It is like if I buy a song on Itunes then stream the song and claim I bought it so I have the right to do this. WRONG, you have the right to listen to it but not use it for streaming especially one where you make money.

There is a reason why TV shows and movies make their own music and even add fake games to their stuff because using gameplay or music where you don't have permission to do so, especially on something where you make money from is a no no. There is a reason why gaming companies are using Streamer Modes because they know their music licenses don't transfer over to the players. And I doubt a gaming company is going to pay a higher licensing deal to the music companies to let streamers gain rights to stream the game with the licensed music. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future that gaming companies or music companies make weird agreements with streamers to play a game with licensed music without issues but I doubt it.

Please note I don't like how copyright works in favor for music companies and that they have different rules but it is what it is. Phil being in this industry for 13+ years should know this stuff. But in his mind all because he adds his snorts and goat laughs that it's fair use.

Yeah, I think it finally broke me haha. Repeatedly hearing this ad revenue related toxicity, seeing idiots enabling him with money as a result, etc was starting to give me a physical feeling of repulsion. I know it all goes right into the toilet and he gets no satisfaction beyond the immediate addiction related dopamine rush, but I've gotta just not hear his level of toxicity for a few days. I have a laptop from 2013 that originally ran on 7. It runs windows 10 just fine with an SSD. He's just too fuckin' lazy and stupid to download it and upgrade it. I use that old laptop as a media center now, replacing a TV. Stupid fuckin' pig.

The short answer is money. He makes, what, $5 a video with the abysmal views he gets on YouTube? So in exchange for keeping music on and losing those few dollars, he'll pretend he's losing out on $100+ per video and ramp up the begging accordingly. If you WANT the wacky music-filled GTA MADNESS to continue, PLEASE consider tipping him $150 a stream to make up for the $5 he's losing on each YouTube upload!
