Honestly, that tweet chain is a little weird. It's archived here, and I capped the weirder bits to discuss. all of it because I'm not that lazy!

The first tweet's just a recap of the situation. The second tweet is either cut off or was victimized by autocorrect somehow, and the third tweet is immediately undermined by the fourth, which becomes incomprehensible aside from "I'm really upset" part of the way through. I'm an empathetic person! It's easy for me to read something like this and conclude that she really was extremely upset and tweeting while on an adrenaline high. I'm not sure what it is, and I've spent too long thinking about this anyway, but this is a lot of drama caused by an anime wherein the main villain turns into a big invincible stickbug motherfucker thing Christ almighty I wasted years of my life on that trash

Now I'm just waiting for a politician to tweet a Terraformars or Gantz edit and start a real firestorm.

It's an insult that won't insult anyone else or harm marginalized and oppressed people.

I think the left's thought process is, "what future elections?"

They act as if they'll never face elections in the future. They think Trump will be in jail, DeSantis will fall to Covid-19, all the Americans who hate them will just magically move on and stop voting.

Much of the left believes that the US will be politically identical to Mexico, with one party winning every presidential election for 100 years. They think people vote against their party because they're not college educated, and that anyone who would vote against them would never have a legitimate reason.

I mean, they believe W. Bush was illegitimately elected and only reelected in the chaos of two wars, and that Trump was only elected because of Facebook and Russia. They really believe if it wasn't for hostile foreign actors, the presidency would have been theirs from 1992 to present.

It doesn't help that their opponents for the past 3 decades are hedonistic cucks who gave up culture and the arts for money and sucking off corporate America and plus the obsession with decorum while backstabbing more populist right wingers until Trump finally came along and blew them out.
