Can anyone recommend me a chest freezer I can keep outdoors? It would be under an overhang, I just do not have the room to put one inside. Cant afford anything really fancy so if its over $400 I probably cant buy it.
Up rights suck because when you open them all the cold falls out and all the warm moist air goes in. They frost up quick.
Keeping a chest freezer organized does take some effort. If yours is big enough maybe try something stackable like egg crates?

Look for ones that say "Garage ready". Garage ready means they can live in a place that gets between 0F and 110F. If it gets outside of that range where you are then you may have to rig something up.
You don't want it to be in a place that gets direct sunlight.
Milk fucks up with breathing if you drink too much, don't really think varsity athletes would chug milk, specially since you just need like a couple glasses a week

Exactly what I needed to know thanks a lot. My fridge freezer is full because every time I can find pork for smoking I throw it in there. Worried about the winter and rising meat prices in general and want to expand my meal prepping.
It's one of the symptoms of lactose intolerance, and since lactose intolerance isn't a yes/no thing and more of a how intolerant thing, I'm guessing at some point drinking too much will clog up your throat.
But, by default drinking milk can influence your ability to sing, sooooooo.
Also check oil price it went from around 40 $ per barrel to 80$ in a year this is totally not 2007/2008 rerun guys combined with summer of love in 2011 of food prices where several dictators got toppled .
If you haven't already purchased (and I don't know the price differential), you might want to look into an upright freezer, if that's a thing in America. I bought a chest freezer during Lockdown #1 and although I am glad to have it, organization is a PAIN IN THE ASS because you've basically just got a big pile of food and you do forget what's at the bottom. My next purchase
if I ever get paid again, which hasn't happened in 2 months
is going to be an upright freezer (looks like a fridge but the whole thing is a freezer) so that I can just use the chest freezer for meat and have the other stuff better organized and accessible. Plus it takes up half the floor space.
edited to add: SHIT. I didn't realize that apparently I'm the only person awake right now. Sorry for the fucking annoying 3 posts in a row.

This. I kept mine on my covered patio for 3 years. I only put it in my utility room this summer after tearing out some old shelving to make room, and running a new conduit and outlet, since I thought it best to not have it on the same breaker as my washer and dryer. Also, small coated wire rack shelves can do wonders to organize your deep freeze.

Here's the easiest way to convert a standard chest freezer into an energy efficient fridge which can be run on solar power. No re-wiring required!

upright unit was pulling about 2.25 kWh/day
After converting the freezer to a fridge, our unit was pulling .68 kWh/day. Once we loaded it up with food the chest fridge is now reading about .51 kWh/day. That’s less than a quarter of the energy our upright fridge used!
One trick I learned of recently when shopping for a chest freezer, is that you can add an aftermarket thermostat to them and turn them into a refrigerator. The boon being that chest refrigerators are hugely more energy efficient than standing ones.

Saw two half-torn "I Did That!" Biden stickers on the fuel pump earlier today, and the remnants of one on at least one other nearby pump from the same direction. We've been having it relatively easy in my neck of the woods, since it's only spiked up to $3.25-ish once or twice since the squeeze started to set in; we tend to hover around $3.09-$3.15, but I've seen glimpses of $2.99-$3.08 going to visit family nearby. The fact that we're still getting "I Did That!" stickers warms my heart.
Well, my local Asian market had probably 25% empty shelves when I was there this weekend, with either no idea or "in two weeks" (where have we heard that before?) response to when basic staples would be restocked.

Thank you for the tips on organizing the chest freezer, everyone. I'm still gonna get the upright (the "freezer area" is in a literal cave, so it's an area that is already cooler than typical house) too, but these are good ideas because you know what makes cold air fall out (ok, rise out or waft out) of the chest freezer? Having it open for ten minutes digging around for stuff that might or might not actually be in there.
Getting cat food and cat litter has very hard to get here.
The grocery store next town over is still doing at the door job interviews. This is the third week doing this, apparently they hired a guy but made it three days before showing up hammered

time to shill (not to everyone, i want the market not entirely ruined) used cars to those who have close relatives or friends who are still convinced by god that only a new car is able to drive off the lot without falling apart.
I ceases to amaze me how absolutely dependent those who have it are on apple carplay/android auto, but if somebody still desires those features you can get a 2-4 (model year) old car that has it and probably a lot more loaded with options than a competing new car.
For those cars missing those zoomerbait options (let's be real i've had people of all ages describe how "necessary" they are) there's a big discount, especially on luxury marquees. Another big advantage is in the tech/infotainment category, i think we reached a peak a few years ago across a few brands for usability/speed where the 2021/2022 redesigns are more distracting, less buttons and a whole lot more black high gloss plastic that we all know they put more and more of so the car loos nasty after only a few years.
