NEW POLL SHOWS A BIG DROP IN SUPPORT FOR THE TRANS AGENDA​

Poll numbers in the US are revealing a changing attitude to transgender ideology. Support for the extremist political agenda is dropping.

The shift is detailed by a September poll from the pro-transgender Public Religion Research Institute. The group’s poll shows a steep three-year drop in support for boys playing in girls’ sports, and for the ideology’s claim that people’s sense of personal “gender” is unconnected to their biological sex.

One-third of Americans (36 per cent) believe that these [male] students should be allowed to participate in [female] sporting events,” according to the survey of 5415 adults, which got very little press coverage. That is a one-third drop from 2018 when 50 per cent of Americans said they were okay with male transgenders playing in girls’ sports.

More fundamentally, the poll showed a two-year, one-third drop in the share of people who believe there are additional genders than male and female. In 2021, only 17 per cent of Americans strongly believe there are multiple “genders,” down from 24 per cent in 2019.

Three years ago, the issue was not widely debated, almost half of those polled thought it would be fine to allow males into female sporting categories and spaces. As the issue has heated up in the public domain, there has been a significant shift.

The greatest shift has occurred among Republicans and independents, the poll said:

Support [for ending single-sex sports] has declined drastically among Republicans—by more than two-thirds—since 2018, when 30 per cent supported [transgender] participation. Independent support has declined by one-third, from 46 per cent in 2018, and support among Democrats has declined by 11 percentage points, from 73 per cent in 2018.

Democrats, in contrast, strongly support the elimination of single-sex sports in the name of liberation from all physical or social barriers. For example, 62 per cent of Democrats favour allowing boys to play in girls’ games, the report says.

Binary spokeswoman, Kirralie Smith, said the results are not surprising.

“As more and more people are directly impacted by this insidious agenda, of course public opinion will change,” she said.

“We are talking about people’s daughters, wives, sisters, aunts and female friends having their sports hijacked, and their safety and privacy put at risk in change rooms and women’s spaces.

“Schools are dealing with sexual assaults and male prisoners are being housed with females.

“This political ideology is beginning to be exposed for what it is: an anti-science, anti-women and children movement.”

Oh for sure, it mentions that they are pro-trannys. An article elsewhere seems to articulate their bias. It feels like they're using the Motte and Bailey way of naming, much like antifa.

But that is not how PRRI characterizes the order. The researchers at PRRI know exactly what the order is about and what it will do. The email opens: “President Trump is set to sign an executive action Thursday that would allow religious individuals and organizations to legally discriminate against members of the LGBT community and individuals having sex outside of marriage.”

In that line, PRRI narrows the consequences of the order to its effects on two victims, LGBT individuals and unmarried sexual partners. The impact, too, has been reduced to one thing: discrimination. Instead of acknowledging a complicated situation wherein two parties with clashing interests and values must be managed, PRRI presents a simple scenario of one group victimizing another.

This is a tendentious, partisan understanding. Behind the order are recent cases of religiously conservative bakers, florists, and photographers refusing to participate in same-sex weddings. They haven’t discriminated against LGBT individuals; I don’t know of any of them denying their wares and services for non-wedding purposes. They simply can’t cross the line and join in what is to them a sinful ceremony.

But their position doesn’t count, not in PRRI’s opinion. The researchers don’t credit the convictions of religious believers as obedience to their God and their church leaders. In PRRI’s opinion, these believers just want to hurt others.

I suspect part of this shift is when people began to understand “let boys play with girls in sports”. Lord knows it sounds like some co-ed kids team or pee-wee soccer match.
Of course the boys and girls could play soccer together, they’re 6!
Of course Highschool should have co-ed basketball, just for the fun of the game, and not the competitive teams!

Women’s pants tend to be built with hips larger than the waist. If a woman wears them she rarely needs a functional belt as the hips will keep those pants on.
Men’s pants are just…rectangles with tubes on them. I have no idea how men keep pants on without a belt or bracers. It’s insane.

The thing is that even in casual and friendly games (which I think are fine and are actually fun) you can see the huge gulf between males and females in terms of physicality, so I can't imagine how it's like for the professionals. All the arguments about HRT affecting a troon's performance so it's fair I don't believe, you have to play some co-ed sports and activities to see how an obviously unfit middle-aged man can outperform a fit young woman sometimes.

Oh agreed. I only assumed that it would be in friendly games. Women tend to know that dudes can out perform them and, in my albeit limited experience, most men don’t see any honor in wiping the floor with a woman. In that sort of setting where teams are mixed and egos aren’t flairing sure, have a good game. I never ever thought they meant varsity or professional/high amateur sports. I thought that much was obvious.

this isn't the "peak" thread nor am I so optimistic but when I talk to anyone who is past the age of forty and isn't online all the time about queer stuff, their reaction to TIM stuff is "I wish they'd stop trying so hard to be women" and to FIM stuff "What's wrong with being a woman?". There's lots of easygoing people out there who don't necessarily mind certain strains of this mental illness, but as TRAs get more and more convinced of their centrality in all walks of life, it really puts people off. The women in my family begrudgingly accept the one cousin who is now "non-binary". It's always and purely under the guise of hoping someone can finally be happy and will finally stop acting so fucked up, and I feel a lot of people, myself included, tend(ed) to feel that way.

So the more people act fucked up, the less we're going to accept who you think you are, because eventually our empathy will run out after all the talk about girldick and bonus boy holes. This is why trans activism is easily comparable to a cult, people are constantly telling you to alienate yourself and how without being trans you'll never be happy.

Pissing off friends and family because you turn conversations into minefields will not engender (lol) compassion in others. Yes, it is because you wore rainbow thighhighs to Thanksgiving. Yes, it is because you demand to be called Lillith. Yes, it is because you're playing gender games. Yes, it is because you want to bind your breasts because you think being a woman is so awful and you think masculinity equals androgyny.

Eventually you'll piss off the handmaidens because they're accepting through social derangement, if the costs of supporting you impact the rest of their life, you may find yourself quickly cut out.
