What's more believable:

An autistic man accurately interpreting a social situation
Or
A self admitted communist not being a hypocritical, opportunistic and greedy asshole with a massive ego
The former, because high functioning autists learn how to read the social cues via circumlocution. Comparing how things should go to how they are, and mapping out the order of events to spot any weird things they missed.

Hence why he noted how Binger put down the phone, picked it back up, then asked if he wanted to change anything.

Open carry is legal. You can't attack someone just because they're carrying a gun, you have to have a reason to think they're going to try to kill you. For example, if they're actively attempting to grab your gun, beat you to death, or shoot you, that's a very good reason to think they're trying to kill you.

To clarify, the term used in legalese is brandishing. There's carrying, then there's having the firearm in a ready position. You DON'T brandish a weapon without a threat.

People with autism who are smart enough, have the potential to become social butterfly's due to their autism helping remember everything. As the witness pointed out when he wrote his statement he remember basically everything but didn't know what was important to write down.

Autism can pickup social cues fine they just don't understand the importance of it or what exactly it meant in context sometimes but they're aware a social cue happened.

Yeah, This. Well said and bonus points for "circumlocution" which I must admit I had to look up.

In actual cases, hitting with fists is not considered likely to cause "imminent death or great bodily harm" by juries.

The statutes don't use the word "proportional," but it's implicit. Different jurisdictions have different statutes so people usually use 4/5 "elements." one of which is proportionality, to cover all of them.
Given that it's very reasonable to assume that Rosenbaum had the intention of taking away the rifle from Kyle and to furthermore assume that he was intending to use it on someone (if not Kyle), lethal force was justified.
Rosenbaum tried to assault someone carrying a rifle and that got him a bullet to his brain, it's more like assisted suicide if anything... and besides, what is this logic?

"Yeah, Kyle should have just allowed the other guy to beat him up and take the high risk that he gets either killed by blunt trauma or by being shot with his own gun."

Rosenbaum ambushed Kyle. Rosenbaum escalated the conflict. Rosenbaum chased Kyle. Rosenbaum started the physical confrontation. He fucked around and found out.
This conflict had exactly two possible outcomes: Kyle manages to run away or one of the two dies.

In actual cases, hitting with fists is not considered likely to cause "imminent death or great bodily harm" by juries.
I'd genuinely like to see those cases tbh.

Of course, the fact that Rosenbaum literally told Rittenhouse that he was going to kill him if he got him alone doesn't play into reasonable belief at all, does it?

there's a video of chauvin holding a person in a prone position by force, while the crowd around is pleading them to stop. the perimeter set by other cops prevented the crowd to intervene. and this shit goes on for 9 mins

i don't know what rekieta law or dirty harry films told you, but you don't bounce back from such cases
Rekieta said Chauvin was going to fry. Make your insults correct, please.

Holy shit I left the trial for bed while the photographer made his first statements and now I see what shitshow I missed. This week so far has been one hell of laughs. So what's for today? I think Kyle's defense wanted to bring Grosskreutz former roommate to the stand right? That will be VERY entertaining.
"did you meet with Mr Grosskreutz in the hospital?"
"Yes"
"did you make these facebook posting?"
"Uhmmmmmmmmmm"

"The actor may not intentionally use force which is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm unless the actor reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself"

It's the reasonable belief of the person defending himself at the time of the action that is in play, legally, not a bunch of implicit after-the-fact assumptions by the jury as to whether the act was proportional according to some non-legal standard. The reasonable belief of the defendant is the entire basis of the self defense claim. The judge even laid this out in the jury instructions at the beginning: Even if the belief turned out to be wrong (spoiler alert, it wasn't wrong), if the belief was reasonable, it's self defense. Everything else is smoke and mirrors.

I mean I'd say he very clearly was under threat of at least great bodily harm

This could be teh day they end it all. I have meetings this afternoon, so I'm probably going to miss out on the fun stuff. Guess I'll be putting the highlights function to good use.

In light of Dear Feeder's post I will attempt to calmly and soberly recap events as they occur.
Be sure to open with the same professionalism and decorum as the defence team and say nigger a lot.

It's also why I think fatass got exasperated when he kept trying to go "you didn't mention this important thing in your statement, but you mentioned the porta potty". He attributed weight/importance to that and not to things like "saw guy holding gun/plastic bag". Same way he remembers there being no door and glass shattered on the floor of the police station when he went to give his report.

Fatass might also be on the spectrum because he was so inept at picking up on these autism cues, while also sperging out on live TV.
