Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

I used to read a little scp back in 2013 when creepypasta was a big thing and completely forgot about it until 5 months ago and it boggles my mind how the hp lovecraft concept of fear of the unknown is completely lost on people
DID YOU KNOW THAT HUMANS ARE THE REAL MOSTERS!!?!?!

No but really Undead nightmare for red dead redemptio confronted the argument in a more mature manner than whatever SCP is trying to di atm.
Like, nigger, i get it you have hollowed out the corpse of the original idea and now wear it as dress for whatever bullshit idea the authors have.

Bravo I suppose.
I just wish parawatch would start their own site.

Like Dionea house is a great creepypasta, same for 50footant (except the 3edgy5u parts with dante from devil may cry) what makes them good is the believability of it all combined with that "Campfire story" or "Forum find" feel.

Instead we get fucking novel from redditors, fuck me i'm the big mad.

Are there any decent ARGs going on right now? Last one I was interested in was the Super Mario 64 Beta Archive, but it was cancelled early due to drama. All of the others seem to be either too generic, too edgy, or inconsistent.

One ARG I looked at was about this girl caring for a monster her scientist dad created, which started out fine and I was invested in watching where the story would go... But then the "author" made the girl a lesbian, and when she asked the audience something along the lines of "i dont know if this is right?", she hearted all of the comments that were validating her sexuality.

Then the monster became a homophobe, and at the end she was wearing a lesbian pride bracelet and ran away with another monster who was also her girlfriend... or something.

How about the Mandela Catalogue, if you're into analogue horror?
You could also go into Night Mind's arg finder website if you really want to find one.

Confirm my theory guys, this is dogshit right?
Because all the later entries have sucked, hard.
Like it was a simple fun concept and they massacred it.
Agreed. I was going to bring up The Exploring Series as easily digestible proof anything past, 3000 at least, is complete shite. His earlier SCP videos were great background noise, but these last few have been godawful.

I remember loving SCP but my favorite scps that stick with me even a decade later are the whacky, kind of silly things and the "cursed" workspace atmosphere. The scary 2spoopy ones I can't remember but my favorite? The green slime, and the vending machine. Like if someone were to ask me what the best SCP is, I'd say vending machine, hands down. No irony. I just think when it tries too hard to be scary, it really breaks the type of immersion that made SCP great to begin with. It's hard to explain, but the biggest thing to me, that kills horror, especially when it's unreality, is when it tries to be scary.

Also this is just great I'm sad they didn't have more like this.

Daisy Brown was so fucking gay. She couldn't even stick to the concept, the character was only socially and technologically illiterate when it suit the plot, and then the creator had the audacity to sneak in a "secret message" in the captions saying "hey guiz it's me the creator of this story haha I couldn't help but say hi thanks for all the views!!!" Like congratulations, you literally failed at the first step of an ARG. I'm not saying ARG creators need to keep up a facade that everything is completely real because that's gay too, but you can't expect people to stay immersed in your story when you constantly go out of your way to break immersion.

The only ones worth following ATM are The Mandela Catalogue and Mystery Flesh Pit National Park. Both are still on-going, I'm not sure about Local58 but I think it got a new video some time ago too?

I can't really fault the guy, he still makes good content, it's the SCP writers themselves who need a fucking wake up call. He only delivers the summery and analyzation, for all intents and purposes he does his job, it's just a shame the new entries suck ass.

Sorry for the double post but I couldn't help myself.

I think you're talking about Daisy Brown.

i didnt mind the "secret message" just because it showed how fucking retarded NightMind could be, being unable for a second to realize how obvious it was

Yep. That one. But yeah, Daisy Brown had potential but the girl running it didn't do anything interesting with the idea midway through and it became boring once that point was reached. I do say, the concept of someone raising an alien, a manmade mutant, or an otherwise anomalous lifeform from its infacy to maturation would've made for a fantastic ARG if it was done right.

One other ARG is the Wilbur Soot ARG. Haven't watched it but it's literally just Dream SMP: The ARG from what I've heard. And from said description, it's probably incredibly fucking gay.

I'm seeing a lot of people say that the Spongebob theorist guy is actually an ARG but the guy's channel history says other wise. Not only did he make other content prior to the Spongebob theories, but he only really made more theories due to the popularity. If anything, he may be just parodying autists who over analyze cartoons.

I liked listening to his videos while I did stuff at work but I had to stop for a while because everything he covered was kaktus tier garbage.

That’s the whole point of his channel, it is one long-running loosely connected metanarrative. It’s a bit cringe at times, yet the amount of sheer effort put into the extra content (the actual “alternate reality” part) blows every other currently running series out of the water, which is not so much intended as praise for it as it is criticism of other recent series.

Despite everything. I think you can't fuck everything up as bad as Ben Drowned. Cool concept, but over the years it became more and more retarded.

The moth's daughter has type 1 diabetes apparently.
What about the advice of their doctor? It's understandable that he is upset about this for sure. But it's slimey to post this instead of focusing on his child. The whole post reeks of a way to manipulate his fans (probably for nudes/asspats/endless attenshun). Not only that, how in the world would his fanbase be able to help him with this? When people air their children's medical/personal life online it's disgusting, I don't see how this could be beneficial for his daughter

You're completely right. The doctor and nurses probably have way more practical advice than stuff his audiance might knows, especially since they know about her specific needs. Not only that, there are countless books and videos out there from people going through the exact same thing with their children, even facebook support groups of people going through the same thing. Hes acting like hes the only person who's ever had to deal with this. I get having the desire to let your audiance know what's going on, but I think a tweet or a community post would be more appropriate than a video asking for advice. Some of these youtubers are so introverted and homebound, that when shit hits the fan in their lives, you can tell how out of touch they are with reality.
