I think everyone needs to refresh themselves as to what happened with Sandmann's case. His lawsuit win was a complete fluke. Reminder that he had his lawsuits dismissed until a judge for whatever reason changed his mind and threw Nick a bone. When one of the papers was going into the deposition phase they then immediately folded and settled out of court. Other rags followed soon after.

If Sandmann didn't have a libel case then there's no way Rittenhouse does unfortunately. In a just world he should but we don't live in one.

Racking is just for pistol slides. I'm thinking too hard to come up with what I naturally say on AR's. Charge? Load?
In the malfunction case, if I was trying to describe it to a jury I'd say "pulled the bolt back to clear the malfunction"

They're bringing in an expert to testify on the live round. And I think the "malfunction" will be spoken about by the video expert.

With a FTE, it meant a fired casing didn't eject properly. I guess yoinking the charging handle would leave an empty (fired) casing on the ground. With a failure to feed, a live round doesn't chamber properly, and you yank the charging handle to extract it and feed a fresh round into the chamber. In this case, you'd have a live, unfired round on the floor.

If your example for your own AR, you have the bolt locked back, you insert the magazine, then hit the bolt release to send the bolt back into battery. In Kyle's case there wouldn't be any reason why his bolt would be locked back.

Correct. And the only reason they're saying that is fucking Grosskreutz said, "The only reason Rittenhouse didn't shoot me immediately is he was reracking (read as reloading) his rifle". So basically, the Defense is going to say, "If he did that, they would have discovered an unshot round there." Police didn't. Grosskreutz is lying even more.
