Well that's a surprise, but then again not really.

Lowtax died as he lived, not giving a shit about anyone except himself. I don't find it surprising he left his children behind like this, it was pretty clear that he didn't give a shit about them. From running off to bang the Mormon, to making sure his wife stayed in some homeless shelter with that one kid for a significant amount of time, to burning through all the money to make extra sure they wouldn't profit of it in any way. A loving father would've simply not done this, no matter how he felt about his wife or what she might or might not have done. He would've at least want to stick around for the kids. He simply didn't care enough about them and put himself in front and center, which is absolutely typical Lowtax if you've known him.

Lowtax was always a petty asshole, and he died a petty asshole. It's quite fitting. I also don't think he was some kind of pioneer or is responsible for a bunch of things. He was just in the right place at the right time when things went critical mass. If not him, then it would've been somebody else. The internet would still be here. Memes would still be here. Claiming that's somehow all on him is ridiculous and just not true.

The real story here is that his mom seems like a piece of shit herself, well many of us already assumed it to be like that.

You knew this was coming, yet I still assumed he'd just fade into obscurity. Watching the reactions to his death is a wild little window into the degenerate crab-bucket SA became long ago.
