1. Why am I only learning of this NOW?

2. Why am I learning of this in a thread largely now covering a suicide of an unrelated guy?
Hell you remember the old Madness game from Newgrounds? It has a sequel now.

I never used newgrounds much back in it's heyday but it does seem like it as a website and as a community fared much better than SA.

Goddamn I remember playing the Madness games back in middle school. And no lie, Madness made the jump to modern gaming surprisingly well. I do have to agree that I thought Newgrounds went to shit some time ago but apparently it bounced back since I know it's big for Friday Night Funkin' and the very idea the LSD fueled bender that is Castle Crashers is getting a sequel...what a time to be alive.

Sorry, Lowtax.

To this day I never drank mangosteen juice.

E: Btw. the tranny janny sleeper SA agents on wikipedia put that ridiculous SA article on extended protection already, lol

I've never been involved with SA but I have been online long enough to see what impact SA had on the internet under his stuardship.

I'm sorry a human is dead and that he's left kids behind who one day will have legitimate questions and I am sorry they will find that LowTax was well Lowtax, but honeslty I dont feel sorry for him but the people in his family.

I have it, can confirm that Nexus is pretty great.
Leave a note professing that he was a trans woman and wanted to be buried in a dress as Rachel Violet Raven Kaynaka. Something Awful would have had to martyr him and declare him Saint Lowtaxia.
Now that you mention it, it's probably the one time in his life he was able to reign in the urge to go "wacky zany" on a topic. In that light it's almost commendable that he didn't write one, I'd think that it'd probably be more traumatizing to know that your dad wrote a suicide letter that sounded like a SA shitpost than to not have one left behind at all.

He probably wrote a suicide note but the cops assumed it was just a blank piece of paper because they don't understand what emptyquotes are.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was too drunk / zapped on pills even to think of leaving a note.

I didn't find out about this until three hours ago. I can't say I'm surprised, but this is all really karma that had been bellowing under the ground for the past 20 years for Lowtax. And when you look at it, it's not just him, so many huge internet ego's that were around from the late 90's - 2000's are getting a terrible wake up call from human mortality (Maddox, Spoony for example). Back then, all of them had large circles of internet cliques, demanded absolute loyalty and admiration, expected you to like what they like, were self-absorbed and mean spirited and usually hid a more miserable side of themselves in real life with the "I'm so cool" persona on the internet.

Now take a look at all these people. No longer youthful, in their mid 30's or 40's, with nothing to show. I know so many people who thought being part of SA meant they were somehow sophisticated throughout my teens in the early-mid 2000's and even when I was in college. They all belonged to communities where they garnered their own cliques, attacked those with pure spite on those they didn't like nonstop and when you discover where they are today; they're not doing too well in real life and the cliques they created self cannibalize because they're full of feuding egos that eventually clash hard.

I recall this post in the Jim Sterling thread earlier this year and it still rings unbelievably true for individuals like Lowtax, Jim Sterling ect.

If some random body part didn't blow out the day you ticked over to 40, consider yourself fortunate. It's pretty common. I'm not shocked to hear a 45 year old has a back problem. I'm not sure why you think its so nefarious or why it matters

Because nigga was buying a GTR and only had "back problems" when he needed to beg for money or to escape responsibility for something.

He didn't have any health problems that weren't the result of being a pillhead.

Bingo.

The primary reason that certain forms of internet drama persist is because nerds can't grasp the reality they have no experience with, by virtue of being nerds. So it's easy to make them marks for the sob stories of drug addicts, stripper whores, etc. The only people who seek out their approval are the people trying to extract money from them.

The real cringe posting is everyone qualifying their account of people like Lowtax with "now he was a domestic abuser," lmfao. No he wasn't! It's a fucking act, and of course people who spend a disproportionate amount of time on forums lap up that e-girl slop, because internet drama forums have more adult virgins per capita than a fucking nunnery.

The same goes for all this cope about some grifter's claimed lingering medical issues. Funny how the the symptoms of these maladies always rear their heads during long spells of content drought after the purchase of a new 6 digit rice car marketed at spergs with bitcoins burning a hole in the pockets of their jeggings. An internet nerd is no more equipped to deal with a car salesman than he is an e-girl with bathwater to sell or a German movie producer pretending to be a boxer. He's outmatched from the word "go."

and there was all that drama about him banning discussion of it on /v/ (which just moved to /pol/) and people branded him a cuckold and a traitor after 12 years of doing a shitty, unprofitable, miserable job
Not to derail too hard into talking about moot, but: you're missing some context where just before he handed down that decision he was seen hanging out with Anita Sarkeesian and other members of her grift (who, coincidentally, were all having their dirty laundry aired by GamerGate) at some swanky techbro conference. And it didn't move to /pol/, they started banning any discussion of it from the entire website which is the only reason 8chan was a thing. So yeah, I can understand saying it's cucky and traitorous to help CIA trust fund kids, grifters and serial abusers hide their misdeeds by censoring your website's users because you want to hang out at Google.

Go back to wrong planet cunt
But he's right.
His ex-wife really is a cunt, though.
True but so what, who cares? She at least has the opportunity, whether or not she takes it, to stop being that. Richard, by killing himself, froze himself in time. In his last instant, he was a complete cunt. Dead, he is a cunt. Forever, he is a cunt. There is no undoing what has been done.
