Kevin had the collar removed before his amhole surgery.

Sorry for phone posting.

I believe we've had this discussion about the collars in this thread before, possibly when Kevin was talking about how it would have to come off for other surgeries. My memory fails me.

Those forehead wrinkles though lmao

Sorry guys, I should have been more clear. Timestamps, these are from his 2019 original amhole surgery. I just brought it up because I'd remembered it was removable and he had to have it taken off before.

To get us back on track: does anyone else find it hilarious that Gash's avatar is just a male body with two arches just shoved on it.

"Yeah, that's what tits look like".

It's kind of poetic really. Even in art, moobs are moobs.

Eh… medieval anti-sodomy laws were… interesting. “Sodomy” was simply an umbrella term that meant “any kind of sex that couldn’t result in pregnancy”, and homosexuality fell under this umbrella. Occasionally whomever was running the church would start a push to denounce the sinfulness of sodomy (usually just amounting to making people confess and pay penance), but peoples’ reactions to this were mixed. They also weren't supposed to have sex during Lent, but the number of babies born nine months after sometime during Lent proves that they still did.

Medieval medical knowledge built upon the ancient Roman four humors theory, where men were considered hot, dry, and “rational”, and women were considered cold, wet, and “lustful”. Male homosexuality was looked down upon because it was considered something that made men more feminine and less “rational” (interestingly, having too much straight sex was considered to have the same effect). So a homosexual would have had a bad reputation, but people largely didn’t care about punishing him if he kept to himself (“oh you know, he’s a lost soul” and all that). Lesbians were given more of a pass because the current thinking was “well, you know ladies… so lustful. Can’t leave ‘em alone for ten minutes without them trying to hump eachother…”

Lack of specific terminology for sex crimes also confuses the record a bit. Take the case of a man in the 14th century being executed for “sodomy”, three months after another man convicted of sodomy was fined, told to stop being gay, and sent on his way. Turns out that the man who was merely fined was having consensual sex with other grown men, whereas the man who was executed had raped an eight-year-old boy. There was no specific legal terminology for child rape, so it went under the “sodomy” umbrella, even though it was considered much worse than simply being gay.

Jean de Arc was an interesting case because the whole “cross dressing” thing was pulled out of thin air so they could have a reason for executing her. The real reason they wanted to execute her, of course, was because she was a skilled military strategist who claimed to receive visions from God, and fought for the other side. If she had been on their side, they would have paraded her through the streets as a devout luminary, but since she wasn’t, they had to keep her from gaining followers from their own side. So they tried to trick her into committing heresy, and when that didn’t work, they used sheer mental gymnastics to say “well… she wore armor, and armor is men’s clothes, innit? So that means she’s a cross-dresser, and there’s one obscure Bible verse that says you ain’t supposed to do that. So that means we can execute her!”

Bottom line is, people didn't really care what you were up to if you weren’t causing a disturbance, the Crown wasn’t concerned if you were upper class, and the Church griped about it, but it didn't have as much power as people imagine it did.
Real late, but as I recall the whole "gender and sexuality was defined differently in premodern times" queer rhetoric has a slight, SLIGHT, layer of truth.

That is, gender was defined as active vs. passive, penetrating vs. being penetrated. Being active with another man was not always looked down upon and never as much as the passive male was. Therefore men in most cultures worldwide could actively fuck boys or subordinate men without being ridiculed.
It was Hebrews that invented the universal dislike of homosexuality which is present in Abrahamic religions and cultures influenced by the same. Still, in Christian Europe the passive partner in sodomy cases was for a long time punished harder than the active one.

This is actually the very reason why 'traps' are so popular in Japanese media and claimed not to be gay in western context. Which in turn is at least a contributing factor to half the troon threads on this disgusting website.

Lesbians were punished much less harshly, or not at all because they were two passive elements. And there was generally little attention given to the matter.

Edited for your enhanced reading experience.

I hate that I found out about Lowtax’s death from Kevin Gibes. I don’t know much about Lowtax, I just hate that Kevin was the deliverer of any news. I only go to my watched threads list, I forget to check the happenings on the front page.

EDIT: I am not privy to how exactly the mental healthcare system operates, but I didn’t think that a therapist can diagnose you with ADD. I was assuming that he meant that his therapist was in the process of referring him to a psychiatrist or someone else who CAN give him a diagnosis. That is, until a second later I read that the diagnosis would give him the confidence TO go see one for medication. [A]

What a coincidence, Neck recently mentioned his ADHD too!

@Spunt yeah, I cut out a bit of one of my posts how stupid properly permeant ones are, but you're right on that bit.

I also pointed out what it was made of and the Allen key. A confirmation that you're not aware of any other possible companies does help confirm the source, I know of an individual who makes them out of titanium, but that's local and they only sell through crypto to avoid taxes. It's normally the less standard screws I hear of people needing cut off than the properly permeant stuff. Though Eternity isn't exactly great for key holding either way.

I can say in my local scene I know someone who basically collects the "keys" for different collars that are less standard but not unique so they can let people out after doms fuck off or as a safety back up plan. While she rarely needs them it's good to know some people are around to make sure people aren't stuck without someone to let them out. It's absolutely a safety concern that needs to be considered.
You have a suspicious amount of knowledge in regards to this. Pls link your fetlife.
Keep in mind looking "good" from a medical perspective can also mean 'healed with no problems" his inner amhole was the one with necrotic tissue not his "labia"

Also compared to many srs nightmares his labia isn't the worst and actually looks like an outer labia, so in the perspective of nightmare fuel it's not as bad as it could be
You got your words all mixed up, friend. You said “actually looks like a labia” but I think you meant “actually looks like a deflated scrotum”

I don't think Kev or his inflated universe are going to get any of the Lolcow of the Year awards, there are far too many strong contenders - Chris finding the one boyfriend-free girl that's been under his nose all these years; Da Gunt's rapid descent into lunacy; Lowtax getting kicked out of SA and finally committing AN HERO, and now pedo artist Shadman's got arrested.

Rioley Ravioli could turn it around with a sudden last-minute shitshow, though.
Fingers crossed!

Wedge is showing off how politically illiterate he is right here, nobody is talking about Mr. Potato Head anymore, that was a talking point for like 3 days a long time ago, I think around a year and a half. Wedge made this comment to be snarky and look smart but to anyone with an IQ above 90 he just looks like he actually is, which is dumb.

This very thread has me PLing on how much I know during a sleep deprived manic cycle without meds. It's not a secret. Unlike some I don't delete shit that I can get ridiculed for. I'll let it stand to shame me. Go digging if you want some sport.

Also no. I'm not that stupid even deep into the crazy.
