I absolutely do not regret coming to this site, for the explicit purpose of this thread. I do hope to bring up another little assessment of Shad and what has brought him here, to this ultimate end. But, I learned my lesson from last time and will be spoilering the autism.
Inb4, "there is nothing deep about shad". I know that is the case. The purpose is to simply paint a more vivid picture for us to critique and ridicule him. Yes, there is going to be a lot of armchair psychology - but literally, we are all armchair generals in the war room against lolcows as it is.
Shadman suffers from being a "fake chad" narcissist. More or less, he was someone that had created this persona and forced people to abide by his delusional projections. If they didn't, he'd use his sphere of influence to mock and tear that person down. Shad is someone who acts like he is immune to critique, but that is only because he has built a character that is. Truthfully, in his most vulnerable states as of late, we can easily confirm from his twitter alone - Shad is incredibly thickskinned. The most simple of objections toward his statements or anything short of giving him praise draws blood to the surface.
Shad never had the authority and confidence he so wishfully wanted. As a result, he made people assume through the context of his presented character that he was this immovable stone. He likely manipulated his friends by brushing off things like "take it ez babe'" as the jokes they were, but he was also very likely teasing them back and hiding genuine insults behind the words. His interaction with Spazkid (who is likely a sickfuck lolcow himself, considering he drew lineart on Shad's site - which shad would colour, of a young boy being abused) on twitter, where it was confirmed the were far from friends - really paints a proper picture of Shad's true nature.
Shad is quick to tear down those around him. He's a lot like Britbong, in that he has used context-based clips of his behaviour in streams and let's draws, to cultivate a very specific presence on his social media. It was all marketing, not just his work, but who he wanted to be as a person. But like Britbong, once you actually realize the person behind this ruthlessly juvenile trolling is nothing but a man-child himself, a certain illusion is broken. When that happens, people like Britbong and Shad do major damage control by suddenly becoming toxic.
And Shad will likely play the victim, as he does and meanwhile - he will speak brutally against the vulnerabilities of others. He is someone who keeps a checklist of wrongs against him and weaponizes it against other people. He remembers every slight, every off handed comment. While he withstood them at the time, he is willing to open up that wound - hurting himself and the other in the process.
Shad doesn't actually believe himself to be a chad, but he desperately wants others to think he is. Thus, he spins himself to be this higher than life character and it is through this nature, he acts out. Shad has always lashed out aggressively and he does this masterful narcissist tactic of actually doubling down on accusations against him - to empower himself, make himself seem bulletproof to the accusation - then tries to turn it against others. When he was aware of us speculating that he was on drugs, he made that twitter post about how he was "blazed on heroin" while fucking keemstar's daughter. A non-sensical, attention seeking "fake alpha" tweet that was used to heal himself from the accusations that were likely true - while doubling down on all the things that are righteously fucked about him.
All in all, an actual chad is someone who rules by example. Someone who is gentle, calm and confident under pressure. Someone who is internally capable of internalizing thoughts and critiques, allowing himself to benefit. Shad is not any of these things. His example is poor, he loses his shit under pressure and his thoughts, his ideology - at the very least, are well written to be easily appealing to an audience of his peers and fans, but are completely without much sense.
When backed into the corner he has been, Shad has had no option but to lash out. Because an actual chad is likely someone that doesn't command authority to others or even find others than himself disgusting, the person Shad tries to emulate is an individual who is respected by the content of his character and the relation his character has to the benefit of his community. Meanwhile, Shad does not have friends - he merely has people he finds less disgusting than others. (note, a narcissist like Shad is someone who finds everyone but himself disgusting. All of his own habits are justified in his own mind, through either denial or because he has 'earned' the right to be the way he is - even if all the evidence proves to the opposite of such) When Shad is 'betrayed', he considers it an insubordination.
Fake-chad narc-personas like shad need control. Which is why they manipulate their friends into taking their advice and many of his friends, rightfully so, take advantage of shad in return. Because Shad is probably like a dog that doesn't know any better. A dog does not know the intent of any kindness given to him. A dog is flattered by the presence of others. Shad is likely, a victim of manipulation as well. His friends, some of them like spazkid who had profited off of his image or site through mutual workings or people like Oney who have a fanbase that seem to receive shad's abrasive, anti-hero persona as a viable part of the cameo cast... they all give into some level of flattery with shad. Keeping him on a leash, but also because he has parasitically weaseled his way into their circles through the shared association of Newgrounds and other mutuals.
They have likely all seen it themselves, how Shad acts and how low he is willing to go. But now, with Shad's drug problems, he has lost any of the projected power he once wanted to subjugate others to. They know that anything Shad says against them will be disregarded, due to Shad's own misfortunates and missteps. We know now that Shad has threatened serious bodily harm against another person with a deadly weapon or even actually injured them. It is easy to speculate that Shad is the type of guy to suffer from intrusive thoughts of violence.
People like Shad think he is still a 'young buck' even in his 30s and he always has something to prove, because he's never tested his steel. Especially since his conscription, if anything, showed him how easy he is to bend and his relation to authority possibly comes from his inability to assimilate to a such an intense structure of hierarchy, respect and obligation to perform adequately despite odds being against you. Shad probably imagines himself as winning fights against his friends, because as a narcissist, he needs to be just better than everyone.
For Shad's world view to exist and justify his actions, he has to be the center of his world view entirely. Ergo, Shad has revolved everything from his relationships to his downfalls to those around him. He is unable to seperate that he is a victim to circumstances out of his control just as much as he is a victim of his own irresponsible actions. Without his coping mechanism to fall back on, Shad has indulged in his vices and has obviously, showed his intent to cause harm to someone with complete capability, opportunity and intent to do so. Otherwise, he would not be charged. It is very possible that Shad had a confrontation, whether it was a stranger or an acquaintance, that proves Shad is not a chad, alpha skeleton mask man.
Shad is not a man who dresses as a skeleton, but a skeleton in the guise of a much better man - whose projected image is now pealed away. When he lost all authority, someone else's 'insubordination' against him provoked a wrath he'd dare call righteous.
