It's mostly women, who are more prone to emotional arguments, and things that make them think of their kids/kids in general. The point that it tipped over to near certainty was ironically entirely an own goal by Binger. When Kyle was breaking down when describing how he stopped Rosenbaum being a threat. And Binger -kept fucking pushing it-.

At that moment, Binger totally lost the jury. At that exact point is when they stopped seeing Rittenhouse as a possible aggressor, and instead saw him as a young kid, who was in a terribly dangerous situation, who had to do an unspeakable act to just not fucking die. At that moment all the jury wanted to do was collectively go down there and give him a hug.

If there's like 80% reasonable people who can see this is clearly a bogus trial and it's clearly self defense, would not be surprised if the single exceptional leftist adamant on a guilty verdict pissed off enough people that someone would start throwing hands.

It won't get to that though because their beliefs are about as tight as their morals, as soon as they realize the longer they stall the longer they won't be able to go on Twitter and brag about how they're a hero they'll eventually give in.

If you're right on that, I go acquittal. If the Barnes estimate (and I don't know of another) is even close to correct we've got about 2/3 swayable plus not guilty on that jury. And the swayable definitely got swayed.

This seems to be the role I exist for on the Farms. I tend towards pragmatism, but the doomerism on the farms tends to be... very disconnected from reality. In the end just pointing out the situation as it is, and not just the blackest version spinnable of it, seems to be a whitepill to people.

It's obvious noone besides this scum wanted to prosecute it because it was open and shut self defense, but hopefully being a genuine POS being ridiculed all over the country allows some deterent.

Who else can technically bring up charges if there is another Binger out there that isn't afriad of a "lost case"?

I think he walks on the killin' 'tards charges. Prosecution went out of their way to prove that.

The only unknown in my mind is if he walks on the misdemeanor weapons charge. They've got him on that one 100%, but I could see the jury letting it slide on principle (both because kyle is sympathetic and the state prosecutors are trash).

Doesn't matter much, he'll probably get time served and that'll be the end of it.

I don't think Binger's goal was a retrial. I think he was actually trying to push for a mistrial with prejudice as the only way to really save his career by both dropping the case and getting a symbolic 'win' by forcing the 'biased' judge to act.

Probably because of how Derek Chavin's trial went. That case ALSO got really bad for the prosecution; and yet the fucking jury decided to convict him based on threats on their lives, should they either

a. acquit him
b. have a hung jury

I am curious though. Why do you think the judge allowed this dumb picture in as evidence to begin with? It's obviously nonsense and I don't think it's going to change much at all.
