The man is a true believer. His smirk after the judge told him it wasn't a political case says it all. He knows he has the media on his side, and honestly at 66k he'll probably make more being a media personality if he so chooses. Someone mentioned his star wars pins might be to garner attention with the consoomer crowd.

Yesterday when he explained that splicing is an "old time film term", it was the one time he didn't sound like an uppity bitch. He actually sounded like a normal geeky guy and happy about sharing that little fact. I felt bad for disliking the guy then, and only then.

When does Dr Jack Brown become Dr Jessica Brown. Just that profile pic indicates he's on the path to troondom.
Court TV, HLN, MSNBC or CNN already probably have a job offer lined up or he has a book deal. He’s way too fixated on this case or perhaps fixated on an 18 year old based on his mannerisms. I definitely got weird vibes from his interactions with Dominic Black. The lengths he’s willing to go to for a conviction clearly show this is more than just another case for him: it’s ideological and likely him trying to advance his career.

why is it that the doom crew seems to start to trickle in of the evening and then leave of the morning? I think he will be found not guilty on the murder/attempted murder but can see how some would be demoralized but it seems as though for most they are doom and gloom in the dark?

Given who he is. who he works for, where he is located, and the people he has tried to schmooze.

He was likely promised by the DA that winning this would earn him favours and opportunities. A chance to actually go up in life, if he's just sleazy enough.

My running hypothesis. Cowardice. They know if they message during the daytime the number of people who will proceed to dogpile them for their bad takes is... significant.

The whole "crossing states lines" argument is also concerning because US citizens have the right to freedom of movement and can enter/exit any of the states as they see fit. Openly restricting that means the state can now control where I go and how I do my business. That's also fundamentally incompatible with the bedrock concepts in the US Constitution and previous Supreme Court rulings. (Especially Paul v. Virginia. And before anyone tries to rules lawyer, it was only partially overturned. The self movement right is still well established in case law.)
Crossing state lines isn't an issues at trial, just in the minds of dumb liberal commies afaik

Things have been going well during the day.

To explain that further, the left until now has had a near-total monopoly on the ability to move personnel and actors across state lines to support their projects. While disorganized, there are a lot more right-wing groups cropping up to do this now. If Kyle gets a not guilty verdict it does rather incentivize doing that more. And just like that a major logistical advantage the left has goes up in smoke.

Does anyone know how the case came to be under Judge Schroeder? Is it a random drawing? Was it assigned to him because they needed to look like they were trying the case but wanted it assigned to a judge that would be sympathetic?

While I feel he has been fair, he is obviously partial to the defense. But since he has backed up all of his decisions by citing prior decisions, I think it's fine.

Cases are usually randomly assigned. In rare cases they aren't, i.e. sometimes very similar cases go to the same judge. Thats how all those CA gun control cases went to saint Benitez.

And insane lefties bat a new record with this one
